Just tried to have a sim swim to the lighthouse in SV.  She couldn't make it.  Halfway out she just stopped, got a popup of what I think is a pond (circle of water with cattails) and then began to swim back.  Tried from three different directions, and in none of them could I get her to swim all the way to the lighthouse.

It is unlikely that you ever will be able to, I am pretty sure that the island the Lighthouse is on is part of the Distant Terrain which is often mostly off of the map, the lighthouse may be part of it or moved to be part of it. That or there is anti-sim routing still under the sea that applies.

The lighthouse is actually camera-unroutable, and areas that are camera-unroutable are inaccessible no matter what.

I'm ridiculously hydrophobic, but I still want this so bad. Mermaids, guys. MERMAIDS!! Are they going to have to permanently stay in the water, or does anyone think there's going to be a way to give them legs on land? It really doesn't matter either way, anyway, because MERMAIDS!

That's assuming mermaids can have kids. They might be like SimBots and Mummies which can't breed

They must be able to breed, what would their excuse be? They aren't dead, or created. I'm thinking that there is a mermaid school under the sea. or mermaid kids don't go to school, or they can walk on land somehow.

Maybe they'll be like vampires, and will grow tails only in adulthood. Not that vampires grow tails--just that the powers will surface.

the mermaids might be "found" in giant clam shells or something, instead of a pearl you get a mermaid?  ha!  maybe they are like werewolves and something 'triggers' the transformation?

I wonder what is the collective noun for a group of mermaids - but a 'school' will do in the absence of one.
