I saw that on Twitter.   SimGuruGraham made the trash barge.   I haven't seen anywhere that community lots are going to be allowed to be on the water.  Just that he was able to do it. 

They also revealed that Sims that are scuba diving can run out of air.

Not necessarily. Asphyxiation is also a possibility.

I gotta say, the developers seem to be outdoing themselves with every expansion. I never thought that underwater exploration would be possible in The Sims 3. And houseboats? Awesome.

Drowning is when you die in the water because water got into your lungs.  Asphyxiation is when your body doesn't get enough oxygen, choking on the inability to breathe at all.

Possibly relevant to this EP, if you were scuba diving and your tank ran out of air and you failed to surface in time - you wouldn't drown, you would suffocate.

I didn't actually see it but I'm sure I heard SimGuruGraham mention it in the video. Someone asked what would happen if a Sim was in the water and the houseboat left without them. He replied that the Sim could jump on a Jetski (Which can be kept in the inventory) and catch up that way, lol.

You had me at Floating bars. 

This is going to be so exciting. I actually thought they were working on a Sims 4 and this was the big feature. But I am definitely glad they chose to put this in TS3.

Going to the future. They've said a line or two about the third expansion pack this year in both of the broadcasts they've had this year, but there's no name or anything yet and it's just early early development.
