Hack, imagine investing in Titanic size boats, which you can upgrade and rent to the pioneers of Sims towns. That would be a good money dump.
A challenge could be buying out all ships out there, or upgrading a millionaire boat, like my Castle Costalot, but than 'floatable.'

EA said that the boats could be made into houseboats, so it's possible.

I can't wait to build and run a resort, finally being able to run a business sounds cool. EA said you could build houseboats, but they haven't said you could rent them out to other Sims, at least not yet.

I was disappointed to hear that there wasn't going to be an open for business EP but maybe this resort feature is the answer.

Renting or building and selling boats, that would be something. But... it's just speculation though.

The resort feature was talked in the chat, a resort is a hotel, they said you could build a nice fancy one, or a small one. Building boats was also talked about in chat. By chat I mean the EA live broadcast.

This sounds super cool!  I have zero interest in the university one (I work at one, so get enough of that in real life, thank you very much), but I'd be interested in this EP!  Can't wait to hear more about it!

For people who have been simming longer than me, is it typical for EA to come out with so many EPs so close together?  It seems like so many I can't keep up! (I only started playing in March of last year).

It isn't typical for so many EPs. Usually only 2 EPs and 2 SPs per year but last year we got 3 of each and this year looks the same.

They haven't announced a third stuff pack so far, but considering all we got out of the third expansion pack was a barest bare bones outline, who knows?

This expansion sounds really interesting.  I'm looking forward to hearing more about it.  While I enjoy the expansions that are basically remakes of Sims 2 expansions, it's fun to have something completely new to look forward to!

I agree, I've never played Sims 1 or 2, but the EPS that are remakes of the prior Sim games are fun. And I can't wait untill we get some screenshots of this, or a trailer to fagirl, and speculate over. I bet the new town will be awesome!

I reckon it looks great, the boat houses! :D Did anyone see my question being answered, Lol. I asked about the sizes of the boats. I know it was mine because it was the exact wording. ;)

The houseboat shown in the broadcast was awesome! I wonder just how diverse they can be in size and shape. And the new all in one bathroom sure saves on space. I also wonder just how much interaction there would be with the mermaids. Could they be brought into the household? Can they come on land? Can you have children with them? So many questions just about them.
