Yeah if you order through origin now you get access to two different codes for two different packs.   One is the origin pack which is the one I mentioned and another is the Party pack for pre-ordering.  The Party Pack will only be available for pre-orders but the origin pack should be available just for ordering through origin whenever.


The goods news is that Origin is now available in an alpha client for Macs now too.    They're looking for testers and so far I haven't had any issues on my Mac.   I can download all of my games that were PC download only before.    Something for Mac users to think about.    They're looking for more testers.

I am not able to download my PC only games but I am excited to have origin again! Digital Downloads tend to go on sale much more often!

As far as University goes I am so excited and glad that it feels like it is closely approaching but I haven't decided if I will preorder or not!

When I read plantains, my mind immediately thought of a new harvestable that would likely just be cloned from the banana tree with little change (though fried plantains = <3).

I've heard about the Plant-sim rumors for weeks. Looks like they're confirmed now, and I'm pretty happy. I never played with them in my limited (read: playing at a friend's house, with the base game at that) TS2 experience, but I hope I can have some fun with them.

It makes as much sense as any of the Sims does. Besides, in TS2 they added playable zombies, but Zombies came with Supernatural. As well as the fact that Aliens were base game in TS2. They could have released plant sims with Seasons, but then Aliens would be coming with University which makes less sense than the plant sims.

Since seasons didn't introduce planting this time around, it doesn't necessarily make more sense to introduce plant sims in seasons. It sounds like plantsims are accident related again, or at least tied to weird science via the addition of botany/herbs and the related uni track. It's also a pot joke, which the series has a history of making.

I don't think there was a teen plantsims stage.) and how they're going to distinguish their abilities from that of fairies.

We'll probably have the offical announcement tomorrow, along with some things they can do in the live broadcast.
Plus, i'm thinking that since they were defined so well in TS2, that they'll take some of the things from TS2, like the life and the reproduction. Although, seeing as the plant sims have most likely just been discovered, they could be totally different.
