Possible fix for Sims disappearing when you travel
« on: January 04, 2013, 12:34:19 PM »
I don't know a player with World Adventures who hasn't gotten the dreaded blank UI at least once.  I mean the one where you show up in China/Egypty/France but there are no character portraits on the left hand side.

I just had it twice in a file I was testing.   I went into Edit Town while in China.  I hit the home button at the top where it loaded into my hometown.  Then once there I hit "return to game".   It had to reload China since I was back in SV but when it reloaded, my sims were back!

Well, that's useful to know - it would never have occurred to me to try that, and I hope I can remember it as it just might keep me from scrapping a game!

Thanks, Rica.

Sounds briliant Ricalynn.  This hasn't happenned to me for some time now, but, I have had this problem in the past, so it's well worth remebering,  Thank you.
