How many Sims do you play under one household?
« on: January 03, 2013, 01:30:38 PM »
I usually make a family when I play Sims. Most of the time its a large family (4-6 members). Lately I have been making family's from the Harry Potter series. The first I have done is the Malfoys (Lucius, Narcissa, Draco, Belatrix, and, {because I dont want him to be lonely} Voldemort). I am planning on making the Potter's, Weasly's, Lovegood's, and the Granger's. I was wondering, how do all of you play? Do you make a Sim that is loosely based on yourself? Is it a single Sim you made up? A family? If a family how large? Do you play any of the game made character's, such as the Goths? If you can/want to please reply I'd love to hear how all of you play.

When I create a family, it's three sims at most. I don't like to play large families because it's a little too much hassle for me, especially right off the bat. But if I eventually make the family large (through adopting pets, having kids or moving in outside sims), I'm fine with playing them because by then, I'm pretty attached.
The outside is quiet, but the inside is on full blast.

Because I'm insane a fan of multi-tasking, a full house. I usually start with just a couple of sims, but with kids, spouses, grandkids, etc. I wind up with a full house every time. The largest I've played thus far is fifteen (I use mods to overstuff) and while it is a challenge, it's fun to play a wide variety of characters at once.

I have a hard time giving up sims to story progression unless absolutely necessary. :)

I don't do more than three.  For me personally it becomes too complicated.  You have to remember everyone's lifetime wish and what skills they need to work on, and go back and forth.  It's easier for me with three.  I did try like five I think and I ended up deleting that save file. :P

I've been to sixteen at one point for a certain family. Worse yet, everyone was either family or a spouse save for one guy (who eventually married a spare anyways). I got too attached to everyone and I didn't have the heart to move out insignificant children of spares.

When I first started playing, I couldn't stop having large families. I'd have three generations or a single parent with seven kids. Now thats too hard and I tend to prefer playing 1-3 sims.

I usually play with a mum and a dad and not more than two kids. I get them a dog or a cat, just one pet.
If I get triplets I'm not very impressed lol.

I'm lasy.  :)  Usually, just one.  Eventually, I add a significant other, then a couple of children, then I get annoyed with the hassle and start a new game!

I prefer small families. I usually create a sim . Get him/her married and then have one child only . Unless they happen to have twins. Then I just carry on the generations from there.  :)

I have three save files going at the moment: one with eight, one with six, and one with one sim. So it varies! Though if I'm playing a dynasty game it always ends up as a big family somehow. I make my sims have kids in my DecaDynasty to make it more interesting while I'm waiting for heirs to complete the requirements.

It varies for me, but I usually keep it on the smaller side.  I don't often have my sims have more than 1 or 2 kids.  Occasionally I'll play a big family, but I'll move the spares out once they're grown to get things back down to a more manageable size.

I prefer small families (2 kids max); but, my sim's "family-oriented" husband had different thoughts and keeps getting wishes for more. So now they have 3; then, the husband invited my sim's ex-romantic interest to move in! I just thought he was talking to the guy, and before I knew it, he accepted! Had to quit without saving, since the new attraction system would have caused issues (they are "eternally faithful" at this point.

I normally play with 2-4 (typically, two generations - a couple with 0 - 2 kids, most of the time), though if not part of a challenge then usually maximum 5 or 6. Have more than enough "juggling 7-8" exercises with the challenges and dynasties, when that's frequently best strategy and/or required.

I start with a small family - 1 to 3 sims, and then let it grow. Usually, I end up with a full household before to long.
