No! Why would you guess that? Sorry for my shock, I feel like I must have written Ellis wrong if you think he would do that. He will convince the Queen that he is faithful to her service, but aid her in her betrayal of his beloved King--never!
This being a fairy tale, no one ever really changes clothes unless it's significant (when the Queen had her gown embroidered with gold and made the King wear a new crown). So the queen always wears her purple-gold gown, signifying royalty and wealth; the King wears his white suit or red furs, signifying goodness and bravery (which makes me think now, I should have done something cool with his white suit to show he was Evil and then changing back Good, but unfortunately I didn't think of it until now); Ellis wears brown, signifying the outdoors and his servant status; Snow White wears red, yellow, blue, and white for obvious reasons (although I could add all kinds of significance to that, if I wanted--yellow signifies a cheery disposition, white is her inherent innocence and purity, blue is her emotional depths and the outdoors, and red is love); this new man has a different, shorter hairstyle to Ellis, shorter beard (all the men must have beards, after all) and wears a scarlet coat to signify adultery.
Betrayal! Now the king will be free of her magic spell and know that she is just an evil witch. Or that witch will cast another spell to him. Great story , Rosa.

The most lovely bit of this is that she wanted to do it all on her own and I just let her.
Historically speaking, it's pretty hard to throw much judgment around given the numerous accounts of royalty having their consorts and whatnot. She's still all sorts of evil, but historically accurate, I suppose.
I kind of had that in the back of my mind. I was going to keep this a long-running affair and have the king discover it at another time, but he changed my mind, and it was much more fairy-tale to do it this way.

Seriously. I mean, she's in a room with big old arches as well. She obviously doesn't care anymore. She's not really the most subtle of villains.
