Oh no! This can't be good, I hope she don't cast a nasty spell on the king.

You'll just have to see!

A fun twist on a familiar story. I'm interested in seeing how the dynasty part ties in. I know the witch is supposed to be evil and everything, but making Snow do an immortal dynasty to get her kingdom back is like, really evil. Then again, I guess that makes all of us who are doing one pretty terrible people! Haha! But seriously, great story telling.

Thank you, that's what I'm all about. Fun twists on familiar stories, that is. I love fractured fairy tales and it's funny, but I didn't even think of this as one until you just mentioned it. But yes, it is based on a series of fractured fairy tales and it is definitely different than the traditional story of Snow White. The dynasty part still is awhile coming, after all the Founder has to be a Young Adult and Snow is still only a toddler! I don't think we're so terrible. We do want our Sims to be happy, after all. What more could a Sim want from a Watcher? Better than being an NPC, I think!
I'm glad you like it.

@ombradellarosa:

I'm sorry, but I had to remove to links from one of your posts.  We do not allow discussion or linking of third party custom content.  It's fine to use in your challenge (at your own risk), but no talking about it or linking to it.

Your story is going well.  Very nice.  Good luck on all of it.  :)

Oh I'm sorry Pam, I misunderstood that rule. My intent was to give credit for someone else's work, but if that is the wrong way to go about it, okay. I have just re-read both the Forum rules and the Story Board rules so I can avoid further infractions.

And even if it was breaking a rule that brought you here, it's an honour to have you read and enjoy my story. The Dreamweavers Immortal Dynasty was the first Dynasty I read and it inspired me to play and write my own, so thank you.

I've just started reading this and I love it. I look forward to reading more  :)

Thank you. I appreciate that. I will try to supply. :)

Uh-oh, evil witch . . . Run, Forest Snow, run!

Hee hee! Yes, we know what this means for Snow White! Not good news, I'm afraid. But hey, it must turn out all right if she becomes the founder of an Immortal Dynasty, right?

My apologies for keeping you all waiting for this instalment, and my thanks for your patience. I just started a new term at university and so my schedule has, ah, shifted a bit. I just uploaded a lot of screenshots in preparation for new chapters though!

"Teddy, where's Mummy?"

Snow isn't going to end up anywhere near a gas mask, right? Right?!

Yay Doctor Who reference!

Rosa, this story looks amazing. I love the clothes and furniture! I have to thank you, too, for using Gail Carson Levine. I read a few of The Princess Tales in high school, and a couple of the stories really stuck with me. Unfortunately, I couldn't for the life of me remember the titles or the author's name. As soon as I realized you were talking about the stories I remembered, I went onto Amazon and ordered all of them. Plus, a copy of Ella Enchanted. :) Thanks!

I love Doctor Who!

Thank you very much, as I've mentioned I spent a lot of time on them. At least compared to my normal amount of time. Fortunately the Betrothal Bungalow, which the palace is based on, already came with a lot of nice things that fit. You will see a scene coming up that involved a lot of clothing by me!

You are beyond welcome. There are stories from my past I would love to read again but there is a similar situation in that I can't remember the titles or authors. So I know how frustrating that can be. I am so glad that I helped you remember so you could own this wonderful series!

Chapter Six

The king greeted this late-night visitor himself.
I am so sorry to disturb you so late, Sire. Please, may I come in?

The king knew the tales of strange women coming in the night. They almost always had power, and it would be unwise to refuse them entrance.
Yes, please. Make yourself comfortable.

Thank you ever so kindly, Sire. I must say, it is rather intimidating to sit before the king of the country!

Are you one of my subjects? Forgive me, but I don’t think I know of you.
Oh, no, Sire. I come from a place far from here. I have travelled the world to come here.

And here, at the end of my travels, who should take me in but a rich and powerful king!

I suppose it is true that I am powerful, yes. It means little to me now.

Sire, if you will permit me—I can sense that your heart is broken.
It is true.
Then perhaps I may be able to help you, if you will allow it.

What can my lady do to help a king with a broken heart?
Well, we’ll start with this.

The king was displeased.

What is this trickery? Begone from this place!

Oh please, King, I mean not to offend. I desire only my King’s happiness!
The King considered, and permitted her to stay.

Perhaps this will do better!

My lady, I fear this will not—

What’s this? My heart—it feels whole again!

However can I thank you?

This feeling…so strange…

Well, we knew it was probably coming but all the same *shakes fist at evil witch!* What was the first potion she threw at him?

You know, I'm really surprised by how well that hat works for the king's crown, with the pattern at the top to make it look like the typical crown. Very cool.

Nooo, Snow White's dad, don't--
And, he fell for it. Nice going, King Gullible. Haven't you read the witch-king stories?

Ga! She threw a love potion at him! Poor Snow White. :(

It could have been a different potion, like the melancholy potion, and then using the love charm o,o

Actually, it was a Lean and Mean. The king gained some weight in his grief and the witch is rather shallow.

Thank you very much, it was an interesting challenge finding something to work.

Nooo, Snow White's dad, don't--

This made me laugh. The king appears to be what we might call Wrong Genre Savvy. I will refrain from linking to TVTropes because I want you all to read my story and not TVTropes for the next three hours.

Yes, it's just plain cheating, isn't it?

It could have been a different potion, like the melancholy potion, and then using the love charm o,o

Quite so. Lean and Mean, as aforementioned, and then the Love Charm.

And the witch strikes. I feel so bad for snow!

Yes, Snow's story will sadly not be looking up for quite awhile. She is in for more sadness.

Since you reminded me of it...too late! ;D My history homework can wait, darn it.

Oh King, you better watch out for those love charms. They're dangerous things.

Chapter Seven

The king was not quite so easily swayed. After that initial reaction, he stepped back.
What am I doing?

The witch sighed. It seemed this would be more difficult, require more maintenance, than she expected.

I—I’m sorry, my love. I don’t know what could have got into me. Do forgive me.

This was more like it, thought the witch.

With a little work, he would be hers completely.

We have only just met, but I feel so drawn to you somehow. I feel I can only be truly happy if I can call you my heart’s own. May I?

You may.

Here, take this. My gift to you. It will make you strong.

The king took it, obediently. It was an elixir. He drank it.

It burned.

The King’s transformation was complete.

Oh! Well that I did not see coming.

Was it the elixir to change a sim's personality/traits, I wonder? Or maybe a Clone Drone potion?
