ErrorTrap question

I've been playing Sims 3 on  Windows 8 64bit for a few weeks now. MOST of the time it runs smoothly, HOWEVER, I do get random crashes after some popups etc...

Does ErrorTrap address these/prevent them from happening?

I do use the following mods:
Overwatch
StoryProg
MasterController
