Future Sim Improvement Ideas

The main things I want to see are the gradual change things, e.g grass grows, Sims grow taller and age gradually, hair can grow, Grey hairs appear. If they have done it with, weight and pregnancy why can't they do it with height or others?

Gradual aging is a really cool idea......but seeing as how TS3 is such a nightmare to program, I am not sure how they would do it. From what I have read it is a bigger pain to program than TS2 or TS1.
I know that TS3 is a different game than TS2, but I really think incorporating ideas from TS2 would be a good thing. Most TS3 players are Sims veterans and we had similar expansions in TS2 and TS1. Pets were a big hit and we got them in both versions, as well as vacations. I'd love to see a Freetime type expansion for TS3.

Freetime would be nice, but not pets. I hated the pets they gave us in TS2...

Old memories. When I was still playing the Sims 2, sometimes my cats got stuck in the floor. It was really strange. They couldn't move and I had to use the cheat maxmotives to get them back on the floor. It really wasn't fun that way.

What types of hobbies were they? Also, could they be leveled up like skills, or what? I too did not have Sims or Sims 2.

There was pottery, sewing, which was pretty neat.  The longer you worked at the skill the better the pottery or the clothes designs.  I loved the pottery.  I had opened up a store for this girl to sell her stuff and made so much money, it costs so little to buy the clay and the profit was really very good once you got to the top level.  There were so many pretty things to decorate your house with.  If I was to choose I would say hobbies and something like the expansion, Open for Business.  University was okay, but it got kinda boring after a while.  I am like alot of other people, I have owned every EP and expansion from all three games.  Sims3 is my favorite though.

I'm not big on Pets from the Sims.  I really hope it's not that.

I was not too impressed with pets either.  Just another body to control.  I played around some with the breeding aspect, but if the two dogs or cats did not like each other, then forget it.

Actually without mods or cheats, you had zero control over pets, so they were awful, to be honest.

Tinkering
Sports
Fitness
Music and Dance
Arts and Crafts
Science
Games
Movies and Books or something like that!

You had a Hobbie skill points out of 10, clubs with own lots, new objects, clothes etc.

That is actually where tinkering started.  Thanks for the list.  I had forgotten most of them because I have not played in so long, but it was a really neat expansion and that is one I think should be brought back.
