Future Sim Improvement Ideas

I think it would be cute if children and older could have crushes. Maybe in Sims 3 they could take it to the next level and add childhood crushes. Along with these childhood crushes, if a male and a female child are best friends at 100%, their older sibling, or maybe their parents, could have a question in the pie menu: "Ask if *Name of Sim* is your Boyfriend/Girlfriend..." or even funnier "Are you dating X?" particularly an interaction for Michael Bachelor. I'd like to see celebrity crushes for teens and older too. The teen doesn't have to be the same age as the celebrity their crushing on, as long as that celebrity is unaware of the teen's existence. No, guys, this isn't cradle robbing, this is simply recreating a child or preteens crush on Justin Bieber, Robert Pattinson, or Taylor Lautner. 

That's a good idea. And then they could have wishes like, make [celebrity] notice you. Also, children with a crush on another child could have special socials that they could only use towards their crush.

I don`t like that idea at all Jeana. Kids and teens are already growing up too fast in the real world to fit media images and I just don`t want that in my sims.

They would see a sim that had the things where the sim had those preferences (a sim could like makeup and glasses, and dislike fattness for example. I don't remember what it's called) and hearts would surround a picture of the sim in a thought bubble. Lol. It would be cute for kids. I think I said that a few months ago in this topic.

Maybe like a Tornado? Or a Hurricane? Instead of Fire Storm and Earthquake, etc, etc.

I think you did mention this Sydney. That's exactly what I want to see, but in a child like way. I could picture Bella's little though bubble with Morty's picture and hearts surrounded by it. I do understand where Carlos is coming from. However, Carlos, my suggestion for child crushes and "boyfriends and girlfriends" would be more of the Sims 2 style, but in more childish ways, since they are too young for romance. As far as two kids being boyfriend and girlfriend, Bella Bachelor would tell Darlene Bunch "I'm gonna marry Morty" and Morty would be annoyed or irritated. Teen crushes on older Sims would be reserved more for Late Night, and their crushes would strictly be for 3 star celebrities or higher.

I was more getting at the celebrity crushes. I don`t want my sims to be bended to the whims of the media, too many people are like that in real life.

I do wish Miss Crumplebottom, could appear as her younger, playable self, if EA could add more townies in Sunset Valley to their Vanilla game. She could be Agnes and Cornelia's cousin and could have the traits: No Sense of Humor, Unflirty, Mean Spirited, Loner and Grumpy. Her first name could be Gertrude and she could constantly complain about dirty jokes. I really miss her.

I loved how she gave Don Lothario a hard time. Poor guy.

She always smacked anyone with her purse, if they were acting too inappropriate for her taste. She smacked Kaylynn downtown.
Kaylynn to Don: "Hey beautiful!"
Ms.Crumplebottom: "DON'T YOU HAVE HOUSES TO CLEAN? GET BACK TO WORK AND STOP LOOKING PRETTY LIKE YOU'RE PENELOPE CRUZ!" *SMACK!*

I wish she could come back in a future Expansion Pack. I was disappointed she didn't have a counterpart in Late Night.

Anyways, I noticed through story progression and aging, my Sims keep getting the Barnacle Bay outfits with my swimwear (particularly the boots). I would really love to have an option to turn those clothing options off through story progression. Meaning, the only way you get the odd items, is if you style the Sim to have those items.

I wish the traits Childish and Dislikes Children didn't conflict with each other. If a Mean Spirited person can still help others and donate to charity, why can't a person who doesn't like kids still love cartoons and be immature? I see it as just because the person is childish doesn't mean they have to like kids. 

I think it would be neat if we could set the age bar on a Sim through CAS. I don't see why they have to be set to one specific point in age. I think maybe this could pose a challenge, like the toddler is going to be a child within 2-3 Sim days and you have that amount of time to potty train them, or if you want a normal type of game play, just set the tot's agebar to the very beginning. I think adults and young adults should be able to set the relationship between eachother as parent and child, and back to my suggestion, maybe make the adult close to retirement and the young adult refuses to move out.
