I want real life celebrities to make an appearance like they did in the previous franchises, (Drew Carey was in the original Sims). Maybe this time, they could make the real life celebrity into a random NPC, that will appear in your house out of nowhere. So working as a firefighter, police officer, mail carrier, maid, social worker, etc. could be their way of keeping a low profile, and our fellow townies could see the celebrity as one of them, not a celebrity, as they never heard of the real life celebrity. Some suggestions: Charlie Sheen could be a firefighter and a police officer, Miley Cyrus could pose as the babysitter and pizza girl, Gary Busey could be the repair guy, and Britney Spears could deliver our mail. Maybe we could get a few child stars to deliver the newspaper too. ;)

LOL Metro, she got hit on for her purse before she hit the happy couples with her purse. Sims 3 is the prequel remember?

Yes. If a sim threw an EPIC house party, Drew Carey would show up in a Limo, walk around the house, socialise, and random popup's would tell you what he said.

When magic returns, I want to see some funny spells. The funniest in TS2 was that Poultry one. And I never used it.
But I'd also want useful spells - Tempus Interruptus all the way!

To answer your question, Sims 3 is the prequel to Sims 1 and 2. When you go to play the original Sims, Morty and Bella are married, and have a daughter Cassandra. Sims 2, Bella is abducted by Aliens (another thing I wish Sims 3 had, considering we have unconventional skin colors) and Morty is close to being an elder, and they had another son Alexander. Kaylynn grows up into the an NPC character (she's the maid). Now for the Riverview families: Bob Newbie and Betty Simlovich are now married, with a daughter named Brandi. Their daughter Brandi is married to the late Skip Broke (who drowned in the pool), and they had two children, Dustin and Beau Broke, and Brandi has a Claire Ursine type of pregnancy, at the beginning of the game (unexpected). Don Lothario ended up in Riverview through time travel, and is engaged to Cassandra Goth (Morty and Bella's daughter), but is having an affair with the Caliente Sisters, Nina and Dina (from Barnacle Bay). Sunset Valley is set 50 years before Sims 2, while Riverview is 25 years before. Barnacle Bay is in the present.

Metro needs to start his own thread of Sims 3 jokes. Must be the great sense of humor trait.

I think the vampires should also turn into bats, if we were to get a pets/animal/unleashed type of expansion pack at the late hours of the day. I wish Aliens could come back too.

I have a wish! I wish there was a way EA would let us save a copy of the family pose from the launcher. You know that thumbnail when you select a game?

Where exactly did you get this info? If the years are so whide apart we must have seen that in the sims cloths, environment, way of traveling and in their technical atributes.

They also had copyright back in 2003 so they simply must have agreed with being a part of a videogame.

@ Leto - Sims Wiki and initial simming (I have played Sims 1, 2 and 3) - isn't that enough? :P Also, if that included clothing/furniture, TS3 would not be so popular, because of the old-fashioned style.
I know they also had copyright back then, but now that copyright costs higher. And EA won't pay higher, they are greedy. LOL

You know how insane Sims don't dress right? Like they wear their PJ's for recreational activities, their swimsuits for everyday, sleep in their formal outfits, work out in their everyday attire etc? Well, why can't they have the option to cook breakfast foods for dinner, and dinner foods for breakfast? I think that would be funny, since they wear what they feel is right (not what is), the same should apply for cooking.

That seems a little to normal, though, doesn't it, as many people do that in real life, even restaurants. I wish all sims had that option, though, because I hate when a sims gets the wish to cook a specific food and I have to wait until the appropriate time of the day to cook it.  And some times, I just want my sims to have pancakes for dinner. ;) Maybe it can be a weekend option or something.

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned, but I would love various curly hairstyles.  I have very, very curly hair and never bother trying to make a Sims self because my curly hair is something that defines me and any attempt I've made just looks weird and nothing like me without the tight spiral curls.  :-\   

I would also like a wider variety of jewelry.  Simple chains, pendants, pearls, some fashion jewelry, etc. And also jackets/coats that can be layered.  I think the Sims for X-box let you layer clothing and change sleeve length, etc and I really liked that option.

The old lady from sims 2 who whacked everyone with their purse was not Agnes Crumplebottom, but is a distant relative.  Agnes is deceased in the Sims 2 and is buried in the Goth graveyard.  She is, however, the Ms. Crumplebottom from Sims 1.

Likewise, I doubt the creators of the game intended on creating an actual set timeline for the sims.  There is too much of a discrepancy between the ages of the sims for this to be the case.  This is not to even mention that the technology of the buy menu items has improved instead of becoming more "retro."  Flat screen, wall mounted televisions did not exist prior to the floor model ones.

Finally, it isn't likely that the towns are meant to be past/future versions of each other.  Twinbrook in particular is commonly believed to be a past version of Strangetown, but I have a better likelihood flying when I flap my arms than a bayou island has of turning into a inland desert, regardless of how you try to justify it.  All of this is player speculation, and serves no other purpose than being an idle diversion.

Of course, all of this is off-topic as well, so let's steer the thread back on course, please.

I agree too. I have curly hair myself, that I like to straighten 75% of the time, so more curly options are a must. Plus, you know how certain Sims have blonde hair with dark roots and eyebrows, as an indication they color their hair? (EX: Betty Newbie's mom Fatima, Zelda Mae, Skip Broke's aunt Mary Lou, Kate Pistachio) It would be neat if Sims had straight hair for everyday, and curly hair for swimming, implying that they straighten their hair. Yes, the past Sims Console Games have had the options to layer jackets, coats etc, along with the sleeve length, and I wish the Computer version did that too. I think body piercings are a must too. So many of us have eyebrow, nose and lip rings (I have a nostril piercing in RL myself) and have wanted it on our virtual selves for a long time.

I also think that they need to make skinny jeans that can be tucked in the boots, not worn over. The pirate boots that came with Barnacle Bay look really odd, on my Sims not being able to have them tucked into their jeans, almost third party looking.  :-\ I got excited that my Sims get a cute pair of trendy boots, and when I actually tried them out in CAS, they looked really weird. Yes, this goes for the cute boots in Generations too.  Also, Generations needs to make sure their CAS content is better meshed. My Sims are getting the "Broken Neck" from the Shirts included in Generations. I know EA makes mistakes too, and they aren't perfect, but I do hope they get the content checked out, and fix it as soon as they can.  :)

In the meantime, I am in hopes for another type of stuff pack of specific store items. Remember how Sims 2 had the H&M Stuff Pack? I hope Sims 3 will think of something along the same line. It doesn't have to be H&M, again, but it should be popular name brands, and even store items, that all ages like, and are very popular: Levi Jeans, Pac-Sun, Hot Topic, Wet Seal, Ralph Lauren, Ed Hardy, French Connection, Express Jeans, American Eagle, Calvin Klein, or any other popular stores, or name brands you can buy at Sears, Macy's and other department stores. Maybe we could include some Craftsmen branded content in a stuff pack, and even "My First Craftsmen" stuff under build/buy objects.

Well in my case it gets even straighter when it's Wet and not to mention it goes from a Dark Blond to almost Black. I want an option to maybe at least get some different Hair Lengh Settings, so maybe Short, Medium and Long. So you could get really long hair or short but in the same styles.
