Lol.  Like raising a toddler in the Sims isn't already enough work.

Don't get me wrong. It is. However, it's almost too easy. I think those naughty interactions could even help them later in life. Parents should have different reactions based on their traits too, to the drawing all over the wall type of behavior. An artistic, or even a slob parent could care less, while a parent that can't stand art, or is a neat, perfectionist type could flip out. As far as helping the toddler later in life, maybe drawing/scribbling on the wall, could help with their painting skill, much like children using the toy oven.

Also, I think toddlers should have puzzles, and coloring books too. Give them a box of crayons in their inventory. They could play nice, or naughty with the crayons. Coloring books could be good for children or older childish Sims.

How about a scribble pad, that toddlers can draw pictures on? Mommy and Daddy could hang it up on the fridge, or frame it on the wall. Plus, it could be one of those things that could improve the painting skill later in life.

Puzzles could be another child development toy that could improve the toddler's logic skill too.

You could do that in Sims 2 on the Drawing Table thing, they did drawings and you could drag them onto the wall. It was cute.  :P I agree, one toddler in a rich family I can be done in about two days and have them ready to age up.  :-X

Look, the hair color is chosen randomly by the game from default colors in CAS. I've had bright red headed Sims, but none of their children got their hair color. Most likely because I didn't save the color in CAS.

Actually, hair color is genetics.  Case in point:  My Environmental Legacy.  The founder has a green color scheme for her hair, and she married Goodwin Goode who has that "bleach blonde" hair color.  While Goodwin's hair color might be directly from CAS, the founder's hair color was not saved.  They had 5 kids at one point (there was a save mishap that I'm still trying to fix).  The first born had an identical color scheme as the founder.  The next two had Goodwin's hair color.  The fourth had the same green color scheme as the founder.  The last one had Goodwin's hair color.  There are no other variations because neither parent has any relatives that might introduce another color into the gene pool.  Here's a picture of the first born.  At this point they could barely afford a bed, so they owned no mirrors.

And this is not even close to the first time that I've used unusual hair colors, so this has been tested repeatedly.  However, with complex hair colors, it's not unusual for only part of that color scheme to be inherited.  I had a sim with red hair and blue highlights who had 4 children.  One of the children inherited the same color scheme as that parent, while two others only inherited the red part.  The fourth inherited the father's hair color, which was brown.

The Sunset Valley townies, on the other hand, are a bit more complex and many of them have relatives which are deceased, and those relatives have different hair colors.  Since many of these townies already have an established gene pool, there is much more variation here.

Wow, that's quite interesting. Maybe I'm just being unlucky? None of her daughters had red hair color. It was Christopher Steel's brown hair color. His genetics are just too strong. ;D

Yep my Legacy has this really odd colour hair which is dark brown almost black but has this strange browny yellow in it, that's not saved and I didn't make it, I still don't know where it came from! The amount of Blonds as well, it's a unique Blond colouring as well, it's shinier than the standard CAS colourings. Another prime example is Bubblegum Dreamweaver she wasn't born with Pink streaks, Pam added them but then Forest inherited them as well.

Okay, going back on topic, does anyone else want to see aliens in their Sims 3 games? I know I want to. I'd love to watch my Sims get abducted by aliens.

I'd like to see more fantasy based NPC's such as fairy's, superheros, and super villains.

I want Elves! It was the plant sims or Elves which they were based on inspired the mythical elf to be my favourite creature.

I second Super Villains and Super Heroes! Especially if you had something like "The Guild of Calamitous Intent" from The Venture Brothers, or some other fun organization/ expansion to the criminal & law enforcement careers. Perhaps your Emperor of Evil would have a nemesis in the Secret Agent Track and have related opportunities/ interactions?

I miss Elves too :'(

A holiday expatiation would be a really cool idea. You could do different activities based on holidays: for Halloween, children, teens, and YA-Elder Sims that are either childish and/or insane could go trick-or-treating, t.p. houses for revenge, and the Grim Reaper could pop by for a few scares, For valentines day, older Sims can give their significant others candy, flowers, teddy bears etc. Christmas, could mean Christmas Music, Santa, and presents for younger Sims, and Easter could mean Easter Egg hunts.

I wish Sims 3 would bring back Claire the Bear from the original Sims too.

*spoken in Charlton Heston/Ten Commandments style voice*  Oh no wonder!  Christopher Steel is a Simmerian God!  No feeble human...er, sim genetics could hope to compete with that kind of overwhelming power!  :P

For me, there have been a couple occasions where a weird hair color was completely bred out after the first generation.  And that's really kind of a bummer...especially when you spend 20 minutes tweaking the highlights, tips and roots because the game doesn't do it automatically lol.

When we get a 'animals' expansion they better include Llamas! I mean after this Sims obsession with Llamas you think we should get them in an EP!  ;)

I would love to see them include Tigers, and Bears if they had an "animals" expansion. If they do include lions and tigers and bears *oh my* the lions and tigers and bears *oh my* should eat the Sims, or maybe just attack them. :o

Eating the sims sounds like it would break the T for Teen rating.

I didn't mean for it to sound so violently horrifying. It was supposed to be something more for amusement, like the movie Jaws.

On the other hand, I think a child-development based stuff pack complete with a variety of different toys, books, play tables, and furniture for child sims or younger would be perfect for nooboo lovers. The same old furniture is getting quite old, and I want my toddlers to have more variety.

I think Generations will grant us the possibility to enjoy the younger Sims even more. With new interactions and objects I doubt anyone will skip the two life stages (toddler, child). ;)
