Toddlers aren't really capable of a whole lot of long distance walking.  And at walking speeds, they'd never get anywhere in a reasonable amount of time.

Children aren't really capable of seeing to all of a toddler's needs (except feeding if they're already on the floor).  They can't put them to bed, nor can they change their diaper because they can't pick them up.  Children aren't fully capable of caring for a baby or toddler, so no, I don't think they should be able to be left alone with one.

Babies social needs are unrealistic, however, and it didn't used to be like that.  Something changed at some point that caused their social need to fill up slower.  I'm not sure if this is a glitch that was never fixed, or if the game designers thought that their social needs filled too quickly.

Have you ever walked with a toddler by holding their hand?  They don't get very far before they get tired and have to be picked up.  Also, try actually walking to a lot in the game sometime.  Depending on where the lot is, this can take a very long time.  None of this really matters of course, as since a child is incapable of seeing to all of toddler's needs.  Thus, toddlers have no more business traveling with a child as their only companion than they do being left alone with one.

Teenage years are considered to be the age where sims and people both become more responsible.  This is why no parent in real life would even consider hiring a 5 year old babysitter for their infant, and it's why children in the game can't be left alone with toddlers.

Also, since real life pregnant women are limited to certain types of fish and seafood, pregnant sims should be too (mercury content) and they should be allowed on the treadmill if they have a high enough athletic skill, meaning they can use it, but will only be allowed to use it with good pacing. Yes, doctors allow real life pregnant women on the treadmill, if they go at a slow pace. and get rid of the weird walk. I've never seen a pregnant woman walk like that.

Bottom line: I just want my sims 3 sims to behave like sims 2 sims. *fingers crossed EA will actually grant my wish*

I want that too, but even if I am an optimist, I don't see that happening any time soon. Just because Sims 3 graphics are better than Sims 2 ones. Anyway, there are still seven expansion packs awaiting us, with a lot of new content coming. ;)

Me too. The Nanny always took care after my babies, instead of the Sims 3 Babysitters. Who gave them their jobs?!  >:(

I want my Nanny's back. The babysitters are evil.  >:(

I miss teens running away from home. How about children and teens run away from home?

EA should also try adding real TV shows to my SIM TV. Kidz Zone should include Spongebob, Phineas and Ferb, Classics: The Flintstones, Loony Toons, and Chowder. Romantic Rendezvous should have Jersey Shore, Desperate Housewives, Sex and the City, and General Hospital. Terror TV should have the Vampire Diaries, and The Twilight Zone. Action World should have CSI, NCIS, Superman, Smallville, Spiderman, and X-MEN. Cookin' Cable should have Rachael Ray, Alton Brown, Iron Chef, and other cooking shows. Sports Universe should have real life sports games, and include Tiger Woods. Garden Channel should have TLC type of shows. They should also add a Comedy station called Funny Station and have Two and a Half Men, South Park, Family Guy, The Office, and Reno 911. And a Reality TV Station too. Have it include The Real Housewives, American Idol, and the Biggest Loser.

If you use the big time celebrities, EA will appeal to their consumers even more ;D

Perhaps, children could maybe gain cooking skills by helping their parents cook in the kitchen? Maybe let them use the grownup stove under supervision.

Children and Teens could run away?? Learn something new everyday

I don't want them to use actual real celebrities and shows. The price for the royalties to add them in would make the game unreal and way out of my price range!

Yes, in the sims 2 Teens could run away if they're miserable enough in their living situation.

There would undoubtedly be copyright issues.  Even if they could be worked out, it would likely be extremely expensive.

While it's possible that I might be wrong, I do believe children can gain cooking skill from the toy oven.  I haven't actually played around with that much, because I'm kind of used to the Baker's Stand being bugged lol.

Yes they can get to level 3 on the stove. It doesn't show up til they are older though, kinda like the books that toddlers read.

I wish...

I'd quite like a Create-A-Painting downloadable program, that worked in a similar way to Create-A-Pattern by creating a Sims3Pack for the game.  I'd like a choice of sizes, frame or no-frame (poster or wallhanging or large photo-wall mural) and the ability to import pictures of my choice or play around with clipart (as in CAP) or even extract photos that my sims have taken or paintings that my sims have painted in-game.

I suppose it would have to called Create-An-Artwork or something, as both CAP and CAW (Create-A-World / Wall Art) are already taken.

I'm aware that it is possible to create your own pictures, I've done this in both TS2 and TS3, but it's a bit fiddly.  I tend not to buy the Stuff-Packs but would be more inclined to do so, if they also contained programs for customisation.

... Wish over, thanks for indulging me.

I can't see as that being overly difficult to do.  People who make CC have been known to make wall art, so how hard could it really be for them to create a program that allows you to install a picture into a few different types of frames?
