Hey, you've just succesfully placed a link on page 40 of the topic you where linking too. :P

But about your teen question, it is true that they can take care of children (although with less options than adults can do as far as I know) but I believe it was CC that made it possible for behaving as a stand alone parent. Therefore I can not continue that subject further.
Please know that you can't create a family with a teen on top. There must be at least one adult, eighter young adult or mature, in the family. Otherwise the game will ask you to create one.
Besides that: I saw that if you want your children sims to live with their grannies and you are planning to do that in CAS, you still need to create the parents also, otherwise you can't make grannie sims in the family tree be their true grannies.
All true, Leto, but you can also move the adult out after you move the family into a lot.
The Social Worker dosn't come, I promise :)

Really? Wow. That is pretty disturbing, as I am asuming that a teen in The Sims who just had a birthday must be somewhere around 12, 13 years old compared to real life. Still a child in my eyes.

I agree, but thankfully this isn't Real Life, this is Sims, and teen sims (Even newly aged ones) can do a lot of stuff that Real Life teens can't. For instance, where I live, the age to get a part time job is almost 16. In the Sims, all teens can get a job.

Haha, in my country we call that 'child labor'. :P
Another thing is 'driving-licence'. In The Sims nobody has ever heard of that I'm assure of. 'You're finally a teen-sim now? Please, go ahead and borrow my Maragret Vaguester. I know you won't make a single scratch.'

Anyway, driving licenses should be in the Sims!

It could be a skill that adults need to teach their teens.
You've played too much TS3 when ... your 13 month old's babble sounds like Simlish!

Adults teaching their kids how to drive? Uhm... if they made it a separate job than it's fine by me.

@Ruby: Child Labour count for under 16 in my country. Although some stores are very hypocrite in that: hiring 18+ staff but selling furniture made by 12- child's from Africa. But that's just Holland way of working in most cases, in my opinion: hypocrite.
But that's to off topic. Feel free to pm if you want to discuss this subject further though.

they need to let toddlers and children have more independence. Bring back prams and strollers, and have the toddlers walk to lots with a child or older (with their hand held) since realistically parents do that anyways. Maybe have toddlers learn skills by story progression too? I think maybe they need to have babysitters that aren't klepto-freeloaders or a little too friendly if you know what i mean :o and bring back nannies. Nannies are much better than the freeloading babysitters. I almost got my son Chowder taken away once he was nearly starving and Candy Ashleydale was napping on my couch. The social worker threatened to take Chowder away.

I agree with the Prams and Strollers and the Walking hand in hand thing would be so awesome for all ages, you could get them to like group up and order both to move as a pair to the same spot but hand in hand! Parents and children and then couples! I can think of quite a few interactions that they could have.

 - A way to adjust how your Sim is sitting i.e. Laid Back, Relaxed, Uptight, Slouch etc.
 - Be able to use the Sims phone when sat down and another thing what about laptops actually on laps! Now theres an idea!
 - I liked the Gymnastics they had in Sims 2 where the kids could show off handstands and cartwheels, that would be fun.
 - Push Bike for Toddlers and Parents!

I'd like new cheats:

showfamilytree firstname lastname

editinCAS firstname lastname

New interaction:

How old are you?

Wow Simstar! Those ideas are awesome. How did you came up with the 'How old are you?' interaction, and what benefit will it add to the game? You can see a sim is being baby, toddler, child, teen, young adult, adult or elder without asking that question right?

It would work much like the "Ask if Single" and "Ask about Career" interactions, I believe. It would benefit in a way that the players would be able to tell what lifestage a sim is, and probably how many days they have left in that lifestage. This way, our young adult sims wouldn't marry adult sims that are 2 days far from turning elder, for example.

Aha, that's the benefit? Hmmm, my personal opinion is different: I don't really care as being a young adult myself if I will find some really cool woman (and I did) who is translated to simlish on the edge or turning elder. And I probably think sims will think the same way.
Actually, I'm almost really sure about that. It happens in the game already.

Well, it's not really any kind of prejudice. The problem is, for example, if you're playing a Dynasty and you need a wife for one of your sims, if she turns into an elder, she can no longer provide children, thus complicating your sims' relations.
