Yeah, I agree with Sweet Pea, even though I would love more toddlers, actually being Evil, and getting some of the old TS2 interactions like nursery rhymes and them asking for stuff again, I just don't see it happening. Even though Sims is suppose to be a life simulator, I never understood, why do we want the game to be more realistic? I mean I like the bits and pieces, but I like that I play my normal family, but that they have a pet unicorn, and their neighbor is a simbot, etc. I think trying to make Sims into a serious/realistic game just takes the fun out of it.

I wish dogs could interact with the baseball and football, and I wish there were a soccer ball they could interact with, too.  The dog ball is silly and hard to recolor.  I couldn't successfully reproduce a soccer ball, so I settled for an ugly beach ball.  If the dog could play with other balls, though, I could avoid the ugly dog ball.

Hahahahahaha! I absolutely LIVE to meet people like you! Makes life all the things "normal" people fear and avoid. Say, you don't know where I left that green crystal thingy that makes a sim go nuts? :P Don't you dare leave the forum. You are my inspiration for my next Sim!
Wow, and I thought I was the only one…
Hey, wait a sec! Weren’t you that fella who borrowed my monitor cables and never game ’em back? I mean, it’s fine ’cause I found a backup, but still! And did you know that the oxygen thingamajig in the original Sims was super combustable and went up in flames the second some fool lit the fireplace?
Haha, I sound like a total looney right now but I don’t care…

*Ahem* Back on topic.
  • I’d love to see more financial options for Sims. Not only could they take out loans from the bank, they could also put money in a Certificate of Deposit (not sure if I spelled that right), so if they had some extra cash, they can stow it away to get it back with 5% compounded interest later. Deposit $100 on Week 2, Day 3, get back $110 on Week 4, Day 3.
  • A height slider would be nice, but to a degree that the animations wouldn’t have to be completely redone.
  • Returning features from previous Sims games. Only 3 returning objects in High-End Loft SP? Pathetic! Where’s my skydiving simulator already? *cough*deathbyflight*cough*
  • More electronics, namely handheld ones. The Sims was the bomb, The Sims 3 is, ehh, and The Sims 2… downright stupid.
  • While not directly related gameplaywise, I think I should mention this: Expansion Manager. Sick of all the vampires and paparazi and Late Night in general? Bam! Disabled without uninstalling. Especially helpful for those, i.e. me, who digitally download everything. Heck, even Nintendo’s finally caught on.
  • Get Twallan on the team. We all know how awesome he is.
  • Anything mentioned in my previous post that I don’t know how (too lazy) to link to.
Please disregard my double post, ’cause you’re gonna pretend you never saw that, okay?

Controls for occult populations are being introduced with Supernatural and were included in 1.38. Have not patched up myself, waiting for Supernatural, but I know there has been discussion about it in the Patch 1.38 thread.

I might have said this before, but I'd love it if children inherited traits no matter what.  Total randomization is fun and all...The only way to do that currently is to make your sim have an awful pregnancy.

I thought you could already randomize traits when the nooboo is born. (Granted, I don't pay that much attention.) I'm pretty sure that there's a pair of dice somewhere on the trait screen that you can hit and will randomly roll traits. And, if you don't like it, change it.

More Genie functionalities. That would be very nice.

I would love^10 a pop-up when bills arrive in the mail.  I never remember to check the mail box, and right now, the game only reminds you the first two times your bills are late.  After that, the repo man pretty much becomes part of the family.

I always get the red "It's the last day to pay the bills" box, no matter how long I play for. Thats how I always pay my bills. If they took that away my sims would all end up BFF's with the repo-man

All of my games always have someone with No bills ever, I refuse to let the current one die until someone else has it.

One thing I would like is careers having slightly more meaning. If you're a cop sim, and you ask a criminal sim their career, they should lie or something like that

I think Handiness is one of the most under-utilized skills in Sims, and I'd really like to see more use made of it.  I wish the price you get back when you sell an upgraded item would recognize the time and added value in an upgraded item, instead of just deducting the depreciation.  In other words, you should be able to sell an upgraded item for more than you paid for it, so that being a Handyman could be a viable way of making a living.  And I think Sims should be able to upgrade cars also.

Or make it a semi-profession, you know, frequent opportunities to fix/ upgrade things.

We used to be able to fix cars in Free Time. I honestly think Free Time was my least favorite though. I thought it was kind of boring. But I really liked the pottery wheel though.

That would definitely be a good addition to the handiness skill. Once your entire house has been upgraded it sort of becomes useless.

I agree with the handiness idea too! I think handy sims should be able to fix the items they salvage from the junk yard and sell them for partial value! I see no real use for the salvageable items otherwise.
