I'd like a proper tortoiseshell pattern in CAP, for cats. I mean, we have all kinds of cool interesting tabby and calico patterns, so why not a pretty tortoiseshell?

I'm going to be alone in this opinion, but I kind of like that sims are the same height. Yes, I know we're not all the same height in real life, but it makes it easier to tell the teens from the adults (my game has a glitch where sometimes only four traits show for adults instead of five).

No, you're not alone! I like that Sims are the same height too! I think if Sims were different height, then it wouldn't look appropriate for a T for teen game. Not to mention the animations would look really off. The game has enough problems/glitches as is, (EA is trying, I know), and I think height would make things ten times worse.  :-\

I really don't see how height has anything to do with changing the rating of the game?

While I realize that in the real world, there are different heights, of different people, including adults being shorter than teens in the real world, and there are couples over a foot apart in height difference. I feel that height would lose the distinction between adults and teens. That being said, if I made two Sims the same age, a small female who's 4'11", and her 5'11" boyfriend, to me, it will look like a normal adult Sim, taking advantage of a young teenager. I realize that my 5'0" self, has encountered an average 5'10" male (yes, even an average 5'10" male looks tall next to me!), in real life, but in the Sims, where everyone knows the distinct difference between a teen and a YA/A, and everyone is in uniform height, it won't look appropriate.

That's not the primary reason, that's the secondary one. The primary reason, as I said, is that it would mess up the animation, and cause severe problems.

EDIT: What about normal, non RPG types of Vacation? I'd like to see just staying at a hotel, and not having to go through all those travel levels.

It would be nice, particuarly with Seasons coming, to have some more vacation destinations.  A tropical island, a ski resort, and other places.

Yeah, I think a ski lodge, with a hot tub, open spa (not a rabbit hole), that gives that relaxation vibe needs to happen, with WA patch in conjunction with Seasons. I don't know if I would count WA as vacation seeing as it's more of a RPG type of expansion, rather than a getaway type of deal. Maybe it is, but if EA comes out with the type I suggested in game, maybe two vacation EP's won't be a bad idea.

I don't think opening up the diner and bistro is a bad idea either. I understand closing off the theatre, athletic stadium, school, hospital, police station and city hall, but I don't think opening the two I suggested, with real NPC chefs and waiters would be a bad thing. I played TS2 and will still go back and play that, if there's a certain part of the game I miss, and in all honesty, I could sacrifice the open neighborhood just to watch my Sims dine again.

EDIT: I think if we opened up the diner and bistro, and made it work like TS2, it would be like the consignment shop and salon, where unemployed, homeless, and randomly generated Sims would work as servers and cooks.

I try to emulate a restaurant by using the WA food registers, but dear Quorthon, I really need a proper open restaurant. One thing that would be really cool is if it was connected to the culinary career. Moonlight as a chef for the night and make some extra dough (and watch your cooking skill go up). Though I wouldn't give up an open world for it.

Should I repeat how much I want simple, longer hairs for the game? The base game has a nice wavy style for the ladies that is just the texture of my hair in real life, but mine is twice as long. Sure, the base game has a handful of straight, long styles for women, and one for men. But I need more variety, and I'd pay good money for a store set or an SP that is just long hairs for both genders.

I honestly don't think we would have any problems if EA decided to open the Bistro and Diner. Obviously, it would require a patch, but if you really think about it, it's not like the resturant really has that much activity that could lag. To me, it would work like the Salon or the Consignment shop. You program the unemployed and homeless townies to work as a waiter or a chef, or a server, and they bring you your food.

Plus, I really miss the interactions at the table. So we can add them back into the game. Plus, it's Sims 3, so an Inappropriate or Mean Spirited Sim could throw food at the table, or demand the waiter.

I think EA needs to do something about the voices. They need to let the future generations have that vairity of voices as well. I cannot play legacies because having the same voices after multiple generations annoys me. It's almost like Sims 2 all over again!

The voices don't really bother me, but I wouldn't mind them being a bit more variable.

Minor, but I wish sims could wear perfume or cologne.

They need to do a lot about generated sims. They can randomize their hair color, clothes, weight, muscle mass, muscle definition, but not their voices or facial features? Modders have both of those sorted out with ease, but for my immortal dynasty, I have to face facts and realize that my sims will be subjected to the dreaded vanilla pudding syndrome.

As for perfume or cologne, that's actually a pretty good idea. Someone on another site commented on how there need to be more smell-related moodlets in the game. It's a sense too!

The pudding face really doesn't bother me. I mean, it's a SIM, not a real person, for crying out loud! Those realistic skins look really creepy to me, because they draw the line at Barbie, and looks like those vain plastic real world people. I mean, I have my aesthetics, and my hair is as floofy as those custom hairstyles, but mine was done by nature, and not by extreme aesthetics. The ugliness of Sims really doesn't bother me, because they're free to look however they want without anyone truly picking on them for looking different. I mean, yeah, Sims 2 was a bit more into looks, but you could dress weird and no one would talk about you or make fun of you.

I'm more referring to the facial sculpt, as opposed to the skin. I guess those sims generated by the game aren't necessarily ugly, but they all have the same face with all the sliders set to zero. I'd rather have the game generate sims that wouldn't look out of place in Twinbrook, because true ugliness still isn't as ugly as looking the same. Considering the game's love of generating sims as opposed to making the original townies reproduce, I get frustrated very quickly.

I also prefer to give my sims angular, somewhat unique faces, and am quick to label anything else as "PUDDING!" Think of it as a bad quirk. :P
