Future Sim Improvement and New Items Ideas

I would love to see standard sized lots (40x30, 30x40, etc.) in the World Editor.

That made things difficult, but not impossible, Coocoo girl, in Sims 2.  Hopefully it would be the same way for Sims 3.  There are so many places in town where your sim can eat, shower and sleep for free that I would think it would be okay.  If we do see weather someday, I really hope there's the simple option to just not have weather in a particular town.

I agree.  There was something you could get in Sims 2 - some sort of reward object, I think it was - that allowed you to turn off weather on that particular lot, and I wound up using it on all the lots.  Seasons was one of the EPs I was most excited about before I got it.  Then I got it and one of my Sims was killed by lightning inside the house, and another time my Sim was at work when lightning struck, and all I could do was watch helplessly as all the trees burned down, leaving a horrible mess.  And then there was the way the weeds would grow, even under the snow ...  After all that, I'm glad to have the endless sunny days we currently have in Sims 3.

OMG I totally killed a legacy heir by burning leaves and she caught fire and died!

I would love to have weather, but I'm sure it will slow the game down considerably.  I would probably only use it on the small custom neighborhoods I have and forgo it on the big EA 'hoods.

We need to be able to drive to different worlds, for like a small vacation in a nearby location, or take a day trip to the city, and bunk with friends who moved there or something. Not to other countries, as you wouldn't need a visa to travel from New York to Florida. And maybe gas stations and taxi fees, and you could choose not to take a taxi.

I remember in Sims 2 seasons an option to select the 4 seasons that the world would cycle through. So you could have Spring, Summer, Winter, Fall. Or you could be like me and have Summer, Summer, Summer, Summer!  ;D

I incidentally have a mod that does exactly that. Not my own creation, but I could share it. Want to confirm first though if it is within forum rules.

Like Jude, I would really like the lots to all match up.  If EA wants to put something on a 60x60 lot or worse, a 28 by 32 lot, then those sizes should be in our world editor.  I get so tired of having to put things on lots that are way too big or spaced weirdly for them.  Standard lot sizes all around please.
What?  Grannies can't play games?

Idea for an expansion/patch
« Reply #1944 on: July 27, 2012, 04:00:23 PM »
EA should release a new expansion/patch that completely removes rabbit holes, and allows more interaction with each of the rabbit holes. At work, you could possibly control your sim and potentially blow everything up. Or you could be a kiss up, and help the boss in every way possible. This patch/expansion would allow for far more interaction with your sim, and in my opinion would make the game more fun instead of waiting for your sim to finish whatever at a rabbit hole.

Some ideas that come to mind:

- A desaturation slider for skin colors. It's a minor thing, but I think the green and blue tones in the game look too colorful for some of my purposes.
- A coffee skill, sort of. Maybe a general brewing skill modeled after mixology. Learn how to make weird lattes, exotic teas, and whatever Starbucks comes up with next. Make a coffee shop and moonlight as a barista for a day. I really just need an excuse to make a hipster coffee shop for my game, complete with cappuccinos, bubble tea, and an alternative looking barista overlooking things.
- The ability to save faces/eyes/etc. into the library of presets in the "basic" tabs in the Looks section of CAS. There are certain types of faces and eyes I use a lot, but they're ones I've created myself and I'm stuck having to recreate them all the time because I can't save them. This is especially frustrating when creating entire families, because the genetics tool in CAS is frustrating as all heck, and I often have a fixed idea of how I want any children to look and how they resemble each parent.
- More long skirts, and more long hairs (chest length and longer) for either gender. I love both a little too much.

I'd like more swimsuits and sleepwear for men.  I also wish hats could be part of accesories instead of hairstyles, though I could see how it could cause problems that way as well, like with some of the crazy hairstyles I have seen sometimes possibly sticking out through the hat.  Something else I would like was included with the orginal Sims Delux Edition.  It came with a feature that among other things, allowed you to upload a headshot of someone and then map it onto the Sims head.  Additonally, you could draw on it to basicly custome create clothes and such.  At the time, I had made, an admittadly poor, Spiderman an Spawn suits.  It would be cool if something like that could be brought into the game again.

And I have sad it before, but I do wish there was a way, without cheats or mods, to knock up a male sim.

And I applogise for any typos, I am currently on a computer with no working spellchecker.

I'd like some more musical instruments, like a bass (not a string bass) and a saxophone. That would be cool. I'd also love an archery skill. Like with a bow and its own traits and whatnot.

I didn't even notice their voices were the same. I don;t usually have the sound on because sound is weird. :) Actually, I love sound. I like my eyes  ::) They are funny and weird. Wow, I have no idea what to write so I'm just writing completely random stuff.  ???  ;)

Hahahahahaha! I absolutely LIVE to meet people like you! Makes life all the things "normal" people fear and avoid. Say, you don't know where I left that green crystal thingy that makes a sim go nuts? :P Don't you dare leave the forum. You are my inspiration for my next Sim!
