I hope this hasn't already been mentioned, but one minor thing EA could fix is how sims react to fire. Instead of making them run toward it, make them run away from it!
The outside is quiet, but the inside is on full blast.

Yes! And how about only the Sims with the neurotic, coward, and dramatic traits get that annoying Simlish shouting "OMG!" It's kind of annoying they just stand around it. It's worse in TS2 though.  :P

Remember the fire toilet? This looked painful

Also, this video shows a perfect example of what sims do during a fire. LOL They sound French

As one of those comments on the video says, have sims ever heard of stop, drop and roll?

More like drop, sit, and scoot. Sims need to learn the stop drop and roll, instead of dancing when they're on fire.

I think we should have a sports type of EP, or one relevant to hobbies in general, that specifically focuses on new skills, with a new town. It should come with pool rafts and activities and have the water slide from Seasons. Diving boards, baseball, and a sports channel.

Oh, and Seasons please. I love it in TS2 but I want it improved for TS3.

I'd actually like to see some TSM objects in TS3. No, I'm not saying TS3 should have churches/religion related stuff, or drunkards, but I would love playing cards and the fire pit. They could extend them for modern times.

Well there is already a fire pit jeana, its in the outdoor activities section.  But it would be cool to have a poker table, or other card tables.  It would be cool if there was an expansion pack that actually had an arcade as a new community lot, and perhaps in playing enough games, you can accumulate tickets you can spend on different prizes for your Sims.  Toys, books, electronics.  The kinds of prizes you used to find in arcades all over the place, but for the most part seem to be a lost industry.

Would also lover to have my Sims able to surf and do other various water activities.  I think it wold be cool if you could teach your child Sims to swim just like your teen Sims learn to drive, or toddlers learn to walk, talk, and use the potty.  Perhaps it could be at the toddler stage that you teach them to swim, though that would be piling on a lot of things to teach your toddler before they age up.

Or it could just be optional, like you can teach them to swim but if you don't they'll still be okay.
If at first you don't succeed, call it version 1.0.

Or if you don't they'll develop the hydrophobic trait as an invisible trait! :D That would make much more sense as an invisible trait I think.

Actually I think it would make more sense to teach it to them when they are kids since it would be kinda weird if a sim learned to swim before walking, talking, or going to the bathroom.

Another thing I would like would to be able to access the entire web from your sims game, not just the player wall. It takes forever for me to shut down my game or to even just put it into window mode if I want to check the forum while I am playing.

Wouldn't that take too much server space?

But I think just normal card games could be good in a normal Sims game, like they do in TSM. It's not like it's something that would be too sensative for a normal Sims game anyways. Maybe building card houses could be a hidden skill and kids could play Old Maid and one can get a moodlet from ending up with the old maid card, and if he/she is grumpy, inappropriate, mean spirited or evil, can accuse the other child of cheating.  ;D Or they can cheat themselves.

They should improve the stylist career so that you could go from doing make-overs up to being a fashion designer. In Sims 1 or 2 (I forget) you used to be able to use a sewing machine and make teddy bears and wall hangings.
I'm sure a lot of fashion minded players would love a career like that.

I really like that idea, MoMoll! It was the Sims 2, I think, and I enjoyed that it as well. I remember thinking how great it was to be able to design things... Sims 3 certainly helped with that  :D
I can just imagine how much fun I would have creating new clothing though, without being an expert in CC! But it would be hard to engineer for EA, I think.

They seem to be able to do it fine for their Store Items so I think the question we have to ask is if they are prepared to let people make their own instead of paying for the Store Contentthat EA makes...  :-X

Hm, interesting issue there, samoht :P they do like making us pay for things! But even if EA did put something like this into the game, it would be very restrictive, I think. Not many options for designs, I mean.
