I don't really see the point in signing Autographs. Fred has done one, but he earned 1,500 from fourteen signs. The theatre got a lot more than he did, maybe it brings in more money for the partnerships if you have one for that location.

Signing autographs is a fine way to meet new people, and instantly befriend them (if you have Charisma skill challenges done).

Whenever you had two parents, and (in my case it was always the dad Sim) who would work later than the children would be at school, anyways, as soon as the father would get home the child Sim would stop whatever they were doing and run (I'm very serious, they stopped and took off for the door at full speed, the first time I saw this, my Sim had been doing homework and I was confused to where she was going!) to hug her father! It was adorable how she did this everyday. I didn't want to just start up a new topic so I found this one again to post in it. I would love to see that happen again in future Sim patches etc. Plus I just found out about the Peek-a-boo interaction and have never said "aww" more at anything in that game other than to that action. It's adorable. :)

Nay, I never liked the auto-hug. It was, to me, a waste of time and unrealistic (well, Sims isn't meant to be realistic but still...), as I not everybody does that anymore.

Hugs are great, whether in sim world or RL. ;D

it depends on the relationship, right? And the mood. If you feel like crying you're not gonna run like a cute puppy-dog and hug your dad.

I'd like more comfortable single beds. The only really comfortable ones are king-sizes.

I'm waiting for the pool table, I hope there'll be a league too, and maybe it could rise your athletic skill? It's an official sport.

More paintings -> I get bored with the standard ones, how many replicas can you have? (of course you can paint new ones yourself, but a little more diversity wouldn't kill anybody).

The ability to have two skill opportunities at a time! It would be a life saver when you're waiting for that omni-plant opportunity! (or the steak one :< I still haven't gotten that one.)

I have something a bit silly and childish. A piggy bank and pocket money! For kids and teens, they can save up for money in it, so they buy the piggy bank, it ages up in value and when you reach adult you sell it!  ;D

That's a perfect idea! I would love that because I have teens who normally get part time jobs, so when they go and earn their own money, it doesn't even go towards their life in the future (like if they move out they get to keep whatever money their parents grant them, and whatever money they earned to buy their own things) I started to notice that with the Sims 2. Whenever a Sim would die prematurely, whatever money they earned got passed along as inheritance (I think this comes with the Universities because that money they earned would show up in their college funds)

Ooo, this thread has really got me thinking! My wish-list for future Sims 3 expansions/stuff packs:

Seasons & Weather - really loved the snow in Sims 2.
Pets - but, as other posters have said, not just cats & dogs, is there any reason we can't have horses? A mad scientist could even do a Jurassic Park & clone a dinosaur for his/her kids! Just think, you could go out and collect amber washed up on the beach, and have the option to extract DNA...
Hobbies - but make it so we can choose not to have a particular hobby please, in Sims 2 my sims would always ended up having the cooking hobby because that would be the first thing they did that had a hobby attached. Grr!
Superstar & Makin' Magic from Sims 1 - I enjoyed these expansions but I never seemed to get very far in the career tracks with them and felt like I'd missed a lot (they got neglected when Sims 2 appeared, of course!), I would love to have something similar in Sims 3.
More World Adventures please! - I just think this is the best expansion pack EVER! And there is so much more you could do! My current top 3 destinations are: Mayan/Aztec (insert culture of choice) ruins in a South American rainforest, Italy for Rome to explore Roman ruins & those catacombs full of skulls under the city, and Thailand or similar (Simkor Wat anyone?!). I am also considering what you could do with Iceland (Vikings & Volcanoes!), a Greek Island (sorta similar to Rome but how about visiting a cave which leads to Hades, paying Charon to cross the Styx & feeding a sop to Cerberus? Hmmm!) and an African country like Botswana or Kenya for a safari (a reward in which you can take an elephant home would be awesome!).

Career-wise, I'm waiting to see what Ambitions is going to include. There is still a lot of things that need to be ironed out with Sims 3 (anyone else had the Invisible Maid service? and the thought-bubble on the ground which turns out to be a friend who is now either invisible or only an inch tall?!), but I'm sure it's going to keep getting better!

This may sound a bit stupid, but I'd love to see clumsy sims do more:

Drop plates, fall over when walking, jogging or running, and fall on the stairs. It would be comical at least.

For longevity of my sims I really wish they'd go back to allowing you to take on another long term goal after you complete the first.

Hehe I agree, I would love to see that, the clumsy Sims now really don't do much but have a little bit more personality, it makes the trait not too important for me, if it did more things like that ^ and maybe allowed a little more restraint on actual things (like working out for athletic skill or what not) then I would definitely use it more because it would add more personality then just a few trips here and there.

I have a silly sounding idea. Wouldn't it be great if you can push a button and see the world through your Sim's eyes? I mean to see how the house looks like and what's he doing etc. :)

You can have a view that is almost similar to that by pressing the Tab key on your keyboard. Unless you mean something more specific, yea, it's cool to follow the Sim's view.

Seasons and Weather changes would be awesome! Thunderstorms would be very exciting, and building snowmen, making snow angels and having snow ball fights would be so much fun. Having the trees change colors during the fall season could inspire our painters to paint beautiful scenery paintings. All of the Seasons would have special things to bring to the game experience!

Something else I miss in my game experience is that there are no animals. I would love to see critters moving about when I am out collecting rocks, bugs and seeds. I would love to see birds flying about and actually perch on tree limbs or outdoors somewhere where they "peck" around for food. Wouldn't it be funny to find bunnies nibbling on your vegetables when you came out to garden? I think a pet in the house would be great too, besides just fish bowls. We need a nice fish aquarium that we can put a variety of fish into.

I would also like to see changes in the relationship feature of the game. I don't like that my family treat each other like casual friends or even like strangers after moving out, or being apart for a time. Even spouses seem to do this. I hope EA will work on changing that and fix the problems we are having with Sims who have "EX's" or partners that they want to eventually marry and the option never comes up.

I too would love to see more musical instruments brought in and expand on how they can be used throughout the game.

Wow, this thread has really sparked my imagination! The ideas are bursting in my head!

Overall, this is a great game, and EA has done a marvelous job creating it!
