I would love sports too! I think individual sports should be skills! (Baseball, Swimming, Hockey, Basketball, Football, Soccer).

I think Sims should form Sports teams too! Then the player (we) can come up with silly names like, The Normals!  ;D

Totally Vollyball.  Ever since just the base game and seeing the beach in SV, I've been wondering, 'where is the beach vollyball?'  I swear, given theat there is nothing to do on the beach other than fish and collect, it really feels a little tacked on.  It would be great if you could actually swim in the ocean.

A totally beach themed town! It could be like where I live! :P

Well, the Showtime town is called 'Starlight Shores' so perhaps that's a beachy town? ;)

That would be awesome!

I would love if Sims could be right or left handed. Might make the game too realistic (I don't want a more realistic game) but it could be interesting, and add to see how genetics could work with this.

I'm pretty sure it's been said before, but I would love to have curved walls.  I wouldn't think it would be that hard if they just used the same mechanic to make curved pools.   In addition, some windows designed to snap to those curved walls.  I only say some since it would be more work to make all windows able to do this, and only the big ones would probably need to anyway.

Edit: I also wish, for the interaction "Paint portrait of Sim" that you could have the Sims you pain be seated.  That way you could set up a nice studio setting with backgrounds to have appear in the portrait.

You know what I just thought of, I think the next Stuff Pack after MS should be 100% about children and toddlers. No new lots or objects for teens or older, including CAS options. It should be called Nursery or Playtime Stuff Pack.

It should have the following:
-Different varity of cribs, potty chairs, high chairs, strollers, prams etc.
-New Toys, not just a play table, or toy boxes.
-New Playground equipment (Merry Go Round, Monkey Bars etc.)
-New and more gender specific only CAS options for children and toddlers. No Unisex hair and clothes.
-One or two new interactions

I would really like Seasons though, but I don't want it exactly the same way it was in Sims 2. I want it upgraded. I do believe Seasons can and will be done, but I don't think it will be as big as pets is. I have a feeling Pets will be the Biggest Expansion Pack in Sims 3. I bet Seasons will have it's upgrades, but the EP itself will be much smaller than expected. More playground equipment.

 For upgrades I want:
-Summer: No school for children and teens, more pool objects, kiddie pools for children and toddlers, sports, BBQ parties, pool parties, Recipes relevant to BBQ cooking. Sunburns/tans, water balloon fights, skating rinks, etc. No curfew for teens and children get to stay out an extra hour. Squirt guns too!

-Spring: Flowers, can be picked for your significant other, children giving flowers, teens get random opportunity to go on spring break if they have good grades.

-Fall: Jumping in leaves, for children and childish teens and older, bonfires, back to school

-Winter: New lifestate: Snowman, Childish Sims will want to make snowmen, start snowball fights etc, so will children. Snow days, and positive moodlet for children and adults, except for workaholics. Can build forts and igloos. Ice fishing.

I love the idea of curved walls, I'd also what sky lights.

As far as Painting, I would love the idea of a studio setting, or even more than one Sim, and to paint it on what ever size, not just "Medium" canvas.

I would like for hidden traits to become unhidden, and for our sims to be able to train certain traits into their children, like in sims 2 you could encourage neatness etc  until your sim could be maxed in all traits. Why should 5 be the limit?

I agree with that! I think it would be cool to create an occult creature through CAS and CAP. I think every household should be entitled to a Vampire, Imaginary friend, or a pet Unicorn without having to work for one. Every player should be entitled to create a vampire or a unicorn without any mods. I have more than 5 traits in real life too! Even though I'm a real life vegetarian, I don't even consider vegetarian as one of my 5 traits in the real world. It's a lifestyle I chose on my own. Being a vegetarian doesn't make a Sim anymore humane, really. If I gave Imogen Pelly or Jared Frio a midlife crisis (LTR), keeping their mean spirited traits, I would expect Jared or Imogen to want to pick a fight with whoever served them a steak. Or, Agnes Crumplebottom to be out of sorts, when there's meat. The getting sick should be left only for Insane, Dramatic or Neurotic Veggies.

I think if you're going to have traits like Never Nude, Hydrophobic, or Vegetarian, there needs to be an extra trait slot, with or without those traits.

I really wish there was more to the veggie trait, and the impact should really depend on the Sims other traits. EX: A mean-spirited veggie will want to fight the person cooking a steak. But not because they're a veggie, but because they're mean spirited.

I wish there was CAP (Create a Painting) or some sort of way you can stick normal photos into your Sims 3 game and have a Sim paint those pictures. Something that can be uploaded and shared on the exchange and our swap shop.

This is the thread I was talking about! I don't know if this is exactly what you want or even if this will help but this is the one I thought of when I read that! http://www.carls-sims-3-guide.com/forum/index.php/topic,7036.msg170309.html#msg170309

Ops I have not idea how I just did that! And I can't get my other post back! Ahhh! I deleted everything I had typed up and replaced it with just this on accident! Hahaha! Go figure leave it to me to do that!

That's in Sims 2. In fact, a few hours ago, Darren Dreamer was painting a picture I put in the Paintings file in my latest Pleasantview adventures.  ;D

About Summer vacation for children and teens: I'm guessing it will work, but it will happen based on aging and length. Really, I don't think EA will care that it will be a perpetual Summer vacation, no school. I mean, the game is rated T for Teens, and Phineas and Ferb never go back to school, and that's a show on the Disney Channel targeted for children.

No @MomofMany, I don't think that was what I was talking about. I was talking about a Sim being at a high level of the painting skill, and having the selection "Paint Custom Painting." The player (as in you) would put the photo of say, Perry the Platypus, in a special folder in their game. Then, the player would select Agnes Crumplebottom (or another high skilled painter), and click at the easel "Paint Custom Painting." The player would select the Perry the platypus photo, and Agnes would paint it.

An interesting idea jeana.  Though it might work better if instead of picking it yourself, you Sim painted a random painting form the custom cache.  That or they are just added into the pool of what they can paint.  Though at the same time, I could see that as being abused to break the T rating depending on what images you loaded in.
