Im really liking that sports EP idea. I wonder why?

I kind of want them to open up the Diner and Bistro rabbit holes. I don't think it would be much lag or trouble or even that difficult. I'd like to see my Sims eat inside the restaurant and order off the menu.

I know, I could see, say, the school, or the stadium being hard, because of all the cheering, and the kids walking from class to class, but the Bistro and Diner would not be difficult at all. Having the food market in WA is a start.

I still don't understand why EA hasn't come up with an in-game virus scanner to detect and remove corrupt files on the spot. Including bad CC.

They don't support CC. It's not made by them so they don't care about it. If you were a business, had stuff to pay and only a set amount to do it. Would you pay for research, for the wages and then for the time involved in creating such a program that fixes a problem that isn't your fault? Custom Content is a risk, EA says they take no responsibility for the use of Third Party Content in their games.

I'm not saying it's a bad idea I'm just answering the 'why haven't they' question.

I understand where you're coming from Thomas, but my idea wouldn't just be about getting rid of bad CC. It would be about deleting any temporary files or corrupt Save files as well.

EA needs to focus on getting their virtual babysitters out of business though!

EDIT: Even the Sims 3 Store has bad CC. A while back, I actually posted a picture, of when I purchased the Flute Forward Dress, and she had a missing leg.

Second EDIT: You know what I just thought of with children? Maybe they can form a sports team. I mean adults form a band, so children and teens should have a sports team. This is why we need Basketball courts and baseball fields.

Not only WA but also the Sims 2! They went backwards with this!
In sims 2 (not sure which expansion), you could take a date to a restaurant and te waiter would even come to your table to take the order! Then you would see him walk into a kitchen where the chef prepared the meal. So cute :)
I'd totally forgotten about this, great idea.

Oh and I would also love to be able to make custom paintings like in the Sims 2!
I want to decorate my house with Botticelli, Da Vinci, Monet, Picasso, van Gogh, Dali, etc.  >:( >:(

EDIT: Oh and I REALLY miss the University EP :'(
Nothing would be more fun than reliving the on campus experience in the sims 3 with all new gameplay!
Fraternities, Sororities, money when making it into the Dean's list, meeting a bunch of sims in college housing, attending parties, time to gain skills, etc.

I had a lot of fun with University.  I was still new to Sims when this came out but it seemed a blast.  It would be a great step between teen and young adult... or be the young adult stage. I second this idea!

Weather/Seasons... meh...

That's Nightlife. (I still go back and play Sims 2 sometimes). I don't think opening up the inside of the Bistro or Diner will cause any lag whatsoever, and I see absloutly no reason to keep that rabbit hole shut for the remainder of Sims 3. The Stadium and school, yes. The restaurants, and the catacombs, no. I could see them opening the two restaurants and even turning the culinary career into a profession. How you interact with customers could really impact on the Sims job.

I can see the police station or the criminal warehouse, or the hospital, because there's nothing to see. The stadium would be extreme lag, and the school would be the same deal.

Personally though, I really miss the closed neighborhood. I love the open, but I love the closed without story progression too. I think there should be an option for open and closed neighborhoods, depending on the player's mood. Someone (including me), who likes to play depending on their mood, could really benefit from having different options of game modes that really suit their mood or preference of the day.

Well, you can always play without story progression if that bugs you!

I personally don't understand what I did all the time in the sims 2 locked inside my house! Haha because I remember I hated the loading screens and so, rarely went out.

Big improvement EA did there, big improvement.

I do usually, but I still like the closed neighborhood though.

To me though, some of the rabbit holes should be opened up. Realistically, the ones that should stay closed are the athletic stadium, school, the theater (too much lag), the police dept., the criminal warehouse, the hospital, the grocery store, the book store, the military base and the spa (not much to see there anyways). The Science Lab, the tombs, the Diner and the Bistro should be opened.

If EA were to open the diner or bistro, it wouldn't function too much differently than the Bars or the waterholes from LN. I think there would be waiters/waitress and hostesses but they would function and work like bartenders, bouncers and cashiers from WA, AMB, LN and Pets (LE Version). It would be fine, and simple enough for lower end computers to handle on their game.

I want nails and body piercings. No one should have to use CC just to make their Sims more like them with long acrylic nails and a nose ring.

I have that dress too Jeana and I love it, but the leg is missing! It wasnt like that at first but at some point something must have gone wrong with it.

I have that dress too. It is still missing a leg. It is annoying because I see it on people in town, and they have a leg!

I've never used it on a Sim since the missing leg started... but maybe if people in town are wearing it with both legs it is only a glitch that shows up in CAS...? I must test this.
