I do wish the hair dye would stay for a day or two, and that you could stop your sims washing it out!

Wait - is that recoloring hair? And, I risk sounding stupid, but it washes out!?

I believe Chuckles is refering to the hairdye that can be used as a prank/trap in the shower, so that next sim to use it comes out with died hair.

I always wished that too. I also wish that teens didn't automatically get into trouble for pranks and such. I wish we had a choice whether to talk to them, yell at them, or ground them as the parent of course. Kind of like how with pets you can praise or scold them for behavior whether good or bad for just so long after the pet had done it. I wish it was more like that so that we could decide if they should get into trouble. I had one kid that was put in a time out or whatever just before school and when I told her to get on the bus she would get in trouble and eventually got grounded and couldn't get to school! Was that a bug or is it like that for everyone too?

Yeah, that bugs me too. I had that problem, but found out that you can immediately let them off the hook and that fixes the problem. Still, if you don't want them yelled at, reset sim works ;) Still, I'd prefer NOT to have to do that.

I want to be able to organize things in patterns.  I know it may seem silly but sometimes I'll save a pattern or color choice, go to a different object want to use that pattern or color choice, and the game has moved it from the last saved slot to somewhere unknown in the huge amount of thumbnails!  I'd like to be able to grab the thumbnails and shift them to what would be my idea of logical order, for instance, all patterns in a certain color together.
What?  Grannies can't play games?
I speak perfect Nooblik, (and some Simlish)!

I said this in another thread but I wished that the sims heights could be adjusted! I just think it would be cool to have short and tall sims walking around. Of course I know that would be a big feat for EA to make sure all the social interactions between sims worked correctly.

I also wished there could be more travel destinations, like Australia or India. :D

About height: This is coming from someone who's 5'0" (very short young adult female), I like having my Sims all one height based on their age group. To me, it gives me that distinction. I think if height were added to the game it would 1) cause even more unnecessary bugs, from the complicated animation (sure, I love the game and have loved the series forever, but isn't Sims 3 already unstable?) 2) confuse the player on how old the Sim really is and 3) it just doesn't look right! I still go back and play Sims 2 once in a while, and I only used the stretched skeletal cheat once? Didn't like the overly tall/short Sim. Sure, Sims is a game of life simulation, but just because the game is "life simulation" doesn't mean it has to be 100% in tune with real life.  :)

On traveling: I do wish World Adventures had a couple more exploring countries: I think Italy, Brazil or India would have been very suitable.

You know what I just thought of too, the Spring rides in Generations. You know how in the base game, the toy oven is used to develop cooking skills, and how the play table builds handy skills that show up later in life? The Spring riders, should have been used for that same purpose with Pets. It should have helped a child ride a real horse when they were older.

I think there should be visitation in Sims. Nothing complex, but a simple automatic thing that could possibly drive the (horrible) babysitters out of business. For example, Claire leaves the baby to go to the gym, and Jared automatically takes the baby for a couple hours while she's away. Or, the 8th immortal child automatically goes straight to her dad's house after school, instead of going to her mom's (the 7th immortal).

Calling someone over that your sims is good friends or more with to take care of the nooboo. I think that would be a good idea.

I just never understood, why visitation wasn't an automatic thing in the Base Game, or even Generations, to begin with. Maybe it will come later in the game with a patch, but why not just automatically call the baby's father or other relative in the family tree? I think the child who's father lives in a different house (divorced Sims/children born out of wedlock), should automatically take care of the child, not the babysitter. Babysitters need to be driven out of business for their awful service. When the child is older, they should automatically go to their father's house on the weekends. Kids do it in real life, and I don't think it's a complicated thing for the game.

I really like the idea about the child going to it's father's on weekends.
I would love to see changing tables for babies and toddlers and to see the babies out of those ugly blankets.  :(

While I like the circular stairs that came with Generations, I would love to have sweeping staircases like this .  It would look so great in my eventual mansions that develop in a dynasty challenge.

Agreed! Seasons was my favorite right after Pets when I played Sims 2!

I agree about Seasons. I don't see why people say it can't/won't work with the open neighborhood, because the Wii version has Seasons/weather.

Of course that means chipset people need to get a new graphics card, but they did anyways with the release of pets. I still play Sims 2 Seasons and enjoy it very much.

I actually have the Wii version and it doesn't have seasons, and the only weather it has is rain witch glitches up constantly. (the rain never stops)
If at first you don't succeed, call it version 1.0.
