Seabody, you mean you've never told your parents you disagree with them?

Well, maybe once, a long time ago. But if so, I really can't remember it. (My memory is horrible though)

Has anyone mentioned a sketchbook?  My Sim can practice music anywhere, can run all over town to increase athletics, can cook or repair broken things at other Sims' homes but has no outlet for artistic expression except an easel at home.  S/he should be able to pull out a sketchbook anywhere and draw to his/her heart's content (while raising art skill).

Wow! I have never even thought of the sketchbook. That's an amazing idea!

Yeah we talked about this before and definintly no bullying for me either.

Guys, I originally got the idea from the Sims 3 Pets trailer, where the little boy found a stray dog, took the dog in, bonded with it, trained it, and when the bullies came crawling back to harass the little boy, the dog chased them away.

That's the main reason why I want meaner children.  :D

Hmm… I haven't seen that trailer.
And I didn't actually think that in your latest post you were talking about bullying, I was responding to what Seabody said.
I agree though, there should be more interactions for kids in general.

Well it wasn't really bullying. It was simply more mean interactions for Mean-Spirited children. I feel like Mean-Spirited children are too nice of kids, which that, they're not really supposed to be.

I took it as bullying since it seemed mean, and in my mind, meanness is, is essence, bullying.

Something I would like to see in insane toddlers, is if the Insane toddler is properly dressed for the proper occasion, say the toddler is being put to bed in his/her pj's she/he could have a negative moodlet from being in the proper clothes, and will start crying.

I do want my evil toddlers to break furniture and climb on the counter, and randomly break the lamp or the vase.

lol I love the idea for evil toddlers, though even good toddlers climb on furniture and get into things. Perhaps though, they could steal another toddler's bottle, or push them, or whack them (like toddlers do, not like full grown sims slapping or beating up). And they could bite :) Come to think of it, sims should get a 'bitten' debuff when bugs bite them too.

What I was thinking of though, well actually my daughter gave me the idea, sims should be able to just ride their bike around in the park or at home. And hang out with other kids on their bikes. And definitely should always wear helmets!!!

Why can't we have a portable easel to go to the park and do painting, like all the old Master's used to do and like I see people doing all over Paris? If you can carry drums and cars in your inventory, you can carry and easel.

I considered suggesting portable easels along with (or in addition to) the sketchbook but thought it might be too farfetched to think of carrying about an easel.  But now that you remind me that my Sims can carry a car in a backpack...  ;D

I wish the game had a button I could toggle on/off for 'placeFriezes', 'constrainfloorelevation' and 'moveobjects'.

That would be nice, especially for MOO. I always have to turn that on and off and it gets annoying to type. What would be nice is if you turn on MOO then it should have a little button in the corner where you can toggle it on or off.

MOO  ;D It's the funniest thing ever.
Anyways I also agree. I hate writting MOO (*giggles*) on and off all the time.

Would you guys mind easing up on the talk of bullying.  It's a sensitive subject that is being discussed a little too much lately.  Thanks very much.  :)

Also, remember that the idea behind this thread is to think of new things you'd like to see, not just a re-hash of Sims 2.

What about ideas and themes on what type of themes we would like to see for a stand alone Sims game: One that has a storyline/objective, with different tasks we have to complete and is non-generational? (I'm talking TSM type of Sims games we would like to see EA to come up with) I haven't had the chance to play TSM yet, but I'm hoping to soon, because I'm really fascinated with the theme, and hope for EA to come up with more non-generational themed Sims games.  8)

One thing I would like to see in Sims 3 is more part time jobs for teens. I also think those part time jobs should help the teen's career later in life too. It could help them advance earlier and they could get paid more. (EX: Server in the culinary career could increase a teens charisma and cooking skills and will reach them up to level 6 in the cooking career)
