Painting the car could also raise painting skill.  I could easily see restoring a car being a nice social activity among multiple vehicle enthusiasts, too.

You just inspired this:
I want the Vehicle Enthusiast trait to be expanded. And please EA, put an animation in CAS for it!

You could do this in the Sims 2 Freetime EP.  It was one of my favorite activities.  Hopefully they will bring it back.  It would be great if it improved the handiness skill.

Which reminds me that I also miss the ability to do crossword puzzles in the newspaper to raise logic.

hahaha yet another thing I miss from sims 2!! So many things that I didn't actually try out. There was such a long time between playing sims 2 and sims 3 for me that there are so many things I thought sims 3 had, and them am disapointed that it doesn't - only to realise it was sims 2!

I loved doing that Car, the only thing I didn't like was the choice of colours, Lol. I really liked that Free Time EP, I hope they do something similar, although this time just add a Football (Is it Soccer in the US?) for kids/people to kick between each other.

In the US, football is when they throw a pigskin ball, trying to get touchdowns by running into the endzone. Soccer, I don't really get into, but I do know it's kicking a ball back and forth.

I believe it is called soccer in the US and maybe other places, Samoht, but don't hold me to it. :P

What about coughs/colds/flu? I seem to remember you could get them in The Sims 2, with days off work, etc. I wouldn't like it to be exactly the same as in TS2, but would like something like that; I find it odd that people can sleep outside on the floor (minus sleeping bag) without anything happening. :D

In the UK Soccer is the same thing as Football, the only thing similar we have to your Football is Rugby and I'd get attacked if I said that in public that they are similar, Lol.  :P

It would be good to have them back I guess, although I did have bad experiences with Colds and Flus, my Sims spent more time being sick than going to Work, Lol.  8)

I know that we all miss the Sims 2 but it would be good if we could think of some things that have never been used before in any of the Sims games.

I would like to see a tool that enables us to change the proportions of windows, blinds and curtains. It irritates me when I can't get curtains or blinds to fit my windows. Or when I go to build a house and the windows I like are perfect but look ridiculous on my big old mansion because they are far too small.

I really, really want a double or triple stroller and more social interactions for babies, snuggle and play with get a bit boring after awhile.

I know that the members on this forum have loads of ideas for new Sims items and improvements lets share them.

Heavens yes! I would love to be able to move my windows up and down! Curvy walls would be good, too. You could put in a straight wall, and then click and drag how you want the curve to go, like in paint!

I would also like a function where you hold down a key to stop the roof from flicking to a different direction when you are building rooves.

And I want to be able to redesign EVERYTHING in game. Especially the chimneys.

Re-design everything including some buy-mode paintings. Like the LN ones. Those I would LOVE to re-color.

I would like to be able to visit other towns. Say for instance Agnes can go clubbing in Bridgeport but then go home to Sunset Valley.

I like the curved wall idea Chuckles maybe finally I could build me a castle, and when I say build I mean get somebody else to build it for me.While we are on the subject circular foundations would be nice too.

Like an Sim Earth thing? Yes, that would be something. While having the ability to connect to the world of other people, to trade goodies, or go on vacation or something.
Bringing back Sims to Sim City, while having the ability to to micromanagement gameplay as wel as micromanagement.

And you know, that doesn't seem like it would be that hard to do.  Well, I say that as a non-computer person, but it seems like if they can manage a seamless neighborhood, traveling to other worlds could also be a possibility.  I could see either a) the world you travel to freezes, so the active family there is unaffected, no aging, no story progression if the world is a travel destination for a sim from another neighborhood, or b) the game creates a mini-Bridgeport (or wherever you're traveling to), so it uses your saved Bridgeport as a starting point for the travel destination but it's only a copy.  Your original Bridgeport remains intact and unaffected.  I could see the aging and story progression there being altered somewhat to be less complicated, too.  Neat idea.   :)

I agree with that idea Rachel. I have always wanted to have the ability to say, my Party Animal living in rural Riverview wants to go downtown to Bridgeport to go to the club scene, and just go back home on his sports car to his rural lifestyle. Or, my celebrity can still reside in Sunset Valley, yet he has his vacation home in Hidden Springs.

EDIT: I would also be pleased for body piercings. I've had my nose pierced since I was about 18, which was around the time I discovered Free Time, and was pleased that Sim Me was finally able to have her nose pierced along with her signature hoop earrings (my real life staple). When I started playing Sims 3, I was waiting forever for them to finally bring back body piercings. I'm still waiting for the Sims 3 version of me to have a nostril piercing again. Sim me feels so...incomplete without her nose stud.

I agree ratchie. If ea can make them travel I don't see why they can't make them "travel" to other towns.
