I hate that random townies with just come over and yell at your sims if they pull a prank in public. EA needs to get on that, unless that's how it was suppose to be.

Also, I know it has been mentioned before, but I am just desperate for those toddler interactions. Why can't a toddler go over and hug his twin or another toddler? They could chat together, too. I don't see why they can socialise with imaginary friend doll, but not their own brother or sister who is the same age as them. Ah well, hehe.

In Sims 2 Toddlers were able to steal each others bottles and hug, which is why went back to Sims 2 for playing with Families. The only way they can really socilize with each other is the play table and the dollhouse. I really miss being able to draw on the play table though. I'd like maybe for children to have their own set of instruments where they can learn skills.

So that's where I saw it! I couldn't work out why at some point I knew my kids could draw on the play table and now can't. It was sims 2... lol

Aww, I miss that! I always used to hang the drawings on the walls! Actually that would be awesome if Toddlers and Children could draw on walls, I did it, Lol.  ;)

I really miss that, too.  When I first started playing Sims 3, I couldn't figure out why I couldn't get them to draw until I realized it was no longer an option.  That really disappointed me.  :(  And I think a junior guitar for would be awesome for children. I really don't get why they can't play the piano, though.  I was sure they could in Sims 2.

Talking about the older games, does anyone who played The Sims remember the Canning table?  And I think there was a butter churner (or bee hives?) as well.  I loved those and would like to see them make a return, or at least something similar. It would be great for those self-sufficient, green thumb sims to be able to can their own tomatoes and make preserves. Adding to that, I would also like to see new garden plants like greenbeans, carrots, and cucumbers added.  And greenhouses for the garden, too. But hopefully greenhouses will be added if/when they release a Seasons EP.

Yes, they could. In fact, Alexander Goth is on the piano when you first visit the Goth Family, and try to get Cassandra married.

And there was a violin too, I miss having child musical prodigies.

I loved that violin!  It really didn't make any sense to me, either, regarding TS3 and kids' inability to play the piano.  It seems to me one of the instruments real children play most.

@samoht04: I like your "friendship gangs" idea! Maybe something along the lines of a clique? I think that's what you have in mind.

When you want to be something, the world can't define, open up your eyes.

YES! I want the preserves table and the butter churn, and the beehive, and the spinning wheel aswell!!!!  I lOVED those! They would go so well with sheep and cows... cows for butter (obviously) and sheep for wool. The sims could then either sell the wool or use a loom to weave it into things. Hmmm.. I seem to remember a sewing machine somewhere. Was that sims 2? Bring that back too!! And I want carrots and peas back too, not just another one of their clone plants.

It was Sims 2 with the sewing machine.  It was an easy way to buy new clothing without having to go to the store!  I also enjoyed the quilts Sims could make with it, too.  When I look at all the stuff TS3 doesn't have, it makes me wonder if they won't yet do a Free Time-esque EP after all.  They certainly have enough material.

Orange and lemon trees would be sweet.  Then child sims could also have lemonade stands, and you could have orange juice with a meal just like you could have nectar.  And there really should be Apple Pie, for sure with a season expansion.  Nothing says summer like apple pie.  Mmm...then again, hot apple pie on a cold winter's day...I could go for that.

I want to see lemonade stands too. I mean we have those stands for children to use for bake sales, so maybe EA can get creative and also use it for lemonade stands.

Seeing the new Vegas themed set you can by from the Sims3 store, now I'm wanting a full casino themed EP, complete with slot machines, poker tables, roulette, blackjack, etc, etc.  It would be a great way for Sims to waste their cash and maybe earn a lot more.  Make it one of the spots on the skill chart like collecting and the consignment shop, to keep track of how many times you played each game, and how much total your Sim has won and lost.  And celebrity status can get you into more exclusive gaming rooms.

Other ideas are, again, a pool table, and also table-top tennis/ping-pong.  And a magic kit complete with costume so Sims could put on magic shows, like the classic rabbit out of a hat, saw the assistant in half, and various slight of hand tricks.  Though a lot of the good ones wouldn't work as well since they are so small you would have to be zoomed in really close to see it.

And then just activities.  It would be cool if you could buy a junked car from the junkyard/build-buy and your Sim(s) could restore it and drive it.  It would make a great father/son bonding experience.

You could do this in the Sims 2 Freetime EP.  It was one of my favorite activities.  Hopefully they will bring it back.  It would be great if it improved the handiness skill.

Which reminds me that I also miss the ability to do crossword puzzles in the newspaper to raise logic.
