The Lawson Unofficial Legacy: Move to the graveyard please
« on: December 28, 2012, 03:23:32 PM »
My previous Lawson family was destroyed when I had to reboot my computer, so I've decided to challenge myself to my own legacy. Each Generation will have their own goal plus the goals for the legacy as a whole. Feedback and suggestions are greatly appreciated

Family Tree Here:
http://familyecho.com/

Legacy Rules:
Must marry as a YA
Must complete Lifetime Wish
The spouse must also complete Lifetime Wish
Heir must be Biological (does not exclude Same-Sex Marriage)
One trait must pass down to the heir, the passed trait can be different each generation
New posts will be from the POV of current heir, at least one from the POV of the spouse

This one is about my beautiful and wonderful Jane. She is a Shy, Family-Oriented, Easily Impressed Hopeless Romantic with a Green Thumb.

It's been a few months since the wedding. A marital bliss surrounded us.  One morning I woke up and saw this

This persisted for a few days and got somewhat violent.  Such as when I checked on her in her gardening.

Me:Hey hon I ju-
Jane: Alan, I love you; but the only thing you know about gardening is that it's what I do for a living.  Please Get Out!

I beat a hasty retreat and, since it was my day off, decided to supplement my meager income

I had my suspicions of Jane's earlier mood swing.

Confirmed. I'm a dad.

The next nine months flew by and my son was born

and my daughter.  Meet Alan Jr. and Brooke, that's right. Twins.  We're going to need a lot of diapers.

Generation I Goal Progress
Alan: Education Level- 3, Skills Maxed- 0
Jane: Children- 2/5, Raised to Teen- 0/5, Omni Plant- No, Money Earned Gardening- 1550/10,000

Wow, my post on the blog. Hi, I'm Jane.  This is my obligatory post on the family blog.  Well, the first notable thing to happen was my babies' first birthday.

First Junior.

Then Brooke.

Oh, the years fly by so fast.

I was trying to teach Brooke what money was when I got sick and I noticed that I had gained weight.

I was pregnant again.

Snowflake Day came around shortly after the twins turned eight.

We were passing out presents when...

And guess what it was. Both! Twins Again! Meet Gabriel (Gabe) and Morganna, respectively.

Gen I Goal Progress
Alan: Career Lvl- 6/10, Skills Maxed- 0/3
Jane: Children- 4/5, Raised to Teen- 0/5, Money from Gardening- COMPLETE, Omni Plant- No

Alan Sr. here, with some very big announcements.  First,  I was made District Superintendent. That month, the younger twins turned 16!

And we have a new family member, Morganna's Formerly Imaginary Friend, Peach.  Gabe is Absolutely smitten with her.

and speaking of smitten,  Back before I married her, Jane had a Roommate named Allegra Gorey.  Well she got married and had a daughter of her own with Castor Nova named Alysia. Brooke and Alysia were inseparable as children and now..

and why the theme of love you ask?  Because Jane and I celebrated 20 years of marriage during this time.

on a more adorable note, Riley, my youngest little girl turned eight last year

and Jane finally planted her omni plant!

So what I'm saying is, it's a matter of time before Riley turns sixteen and I need to choose an heir.  I have decided that Junior will carry on the Lawson Legacy.  After a brief interim he shall introduce himself to you.  This will be my last post. Good Bye

Generation One Progress
Alan- COMPLETE
Jane- Kids Raised to Teen: 4/5, Plant Omni Plant: YES

Greetings.  My name is Alan Lawson Jr. Junior to my family, Alan to everyone else. I am a Good, Disciplined, Handy, Brave Genius. Recently, my twin sister and I turned 21

If you're wondering about the camouflage, I joined the military. Brooke became a musician and a wife. Yes, hers was the wedding in the title.  She and Alysia married in a semi-private ceremony in our foyer-ish area.

I present to you, Mrs. Alysia and Mrs. Brooke Nova.

and my baby sister has turned 16.

she's already talking on and on about this guy Trey. A realization hit. When I went to the study to concentrate, I overheard this conversation

Peach: What was that?
Gabe: A wedding, it's when two people promise to spend the rest of their lives together
Peach: Will we have one?
Gabe: Of course we will.

Then it really hit me.  Brooke, Gabe, Peach, Riley. They all are in some sort of relationship.  I wasted all my time in the study reading away my childhood.  I'm lonely.

[A/N] Sorry to end the narration of the update like this.  Things will look up for Alan Jr.

Generation One Progress

Generation Two Goals will be posted with next update

This past year I was in China. I needed some relaxation.  While I was there, I met a local named Sun Young

We talked for a bit and then...

and then she had to leave.  I decided to practice some Sim Fu while I was there

Those dummies hit hard. I got to an Orange belt before going back to the camp.

Of course, I spent most of my night dreaming of Sun Young

It was still fairly early, so I went up to her house and asked her to be my girlfriend.  She said yes.

I then took her to a local garden and proposed

and we spent the night watching the stars.

Generation Two Goals
Alan Jr.- Reach Level Ten of Military Career: 1/10, Max Logic Skill: 3/10, Max Martial Arts Skill: 3/10
Sun Young- Max Martial Arts Skill: 4/10, Max Painting Skill: 2/10, Paint a Masterpiece: No, Make $15,000 Painting: 0/15,000

Congrats to the happy couple! Sun Young is a lovely sim. :)

She definitely pretty.  At this point the only eligible  bachelorettes were the twin daughters if Brandy Broke and Holden Wozny.  The Broke genes did not win in that fight.  Up next a wedding, trick-or-treating and Prom.

Yep, you read that right. I'm dedicating this entire chapter to my wedding with Sun Young. Picture time!

Here we have Sun Young's dress. She says it's similar to the one Hui Young wore when she married her brother

The exchanging of the rings

Our first kiss as husband and wife

My family (minus Brooke who had to work) watching as I become a married man

I'd show you one of Dad, but he made me delete it. He thinks it's embarrassing for a man to cry at his son's wedding. Daughters are fine, just not sons.

My third favorite part, The cake

and after all the excitement, Sun Young and I, well...

Welcome to the family, Sun Young (Kim) Lawson!

Re: The Lawson Unofficial Legacy 2.4: Proms and Costumes
« Reply #14 on: January 06, 2013, 01:48:44 AM »
Ah Prom. I never went to mine, nerds like me don't tend to have dating success in high school.  But things went differently for Gabe and Riley. (Morganna didn't go either, she found out that her date had a girlfriend and she wanted no part of that dance)

Gabe took Peach (naturally), and Riley went with some friend of hers named Trey.

The Limo picked them up and they were on their way

The dance was relatively uneventful for Gabe and Peach.  They simply had a good time and maybe solidified their love for each other.

Things were different for Riley, still good though.  Trey asked her to go steady with him.  I'm told I should have been able to hear her acceptance from our house.  And she also got her first kiss from him.  All in all it was a good night for them.

My parents? They're still together and still very much in love even after 40-something years.

Of course now it's a week before Gabe, Morganna, and Peach graduate. So they all went to the festival in their Spooky Day costumes.  They even took Riley with them.

Morganna was a cowgirl,

Peach was a mermaid,

Gabe was a skeleton, I think,

and Riley was a cheerleader.

Next time: Graduation, a secret rendezvous, birthdays, and good news
