Sims 3 basic purchase question
« on: December 27, 2012, 07:44:41 AM »
OK, firstly allow me to give you guys some background information. I have all the SPs and EPs. I bought all of them on disc form. I am residing in Singapore by the way.

Lately, in Singapore, the game companies take a long time to deliver the Sims 3 games on disc. So I had to purchase some Sims 3 games on Amazon.

Now I want to buy future EPS and SPs directly from Origin. Thus no disc is required and saving some shipping costs.

So the question is, is it possible to have some EPs and SPs on disc form while have others as a direct digital downloads? Will there be any conflicts?

Thanks for any advise you guys would give me!

 :)

It's no problem having some game items on disc and others as direct downloads.  I had all mine on disc but my SN disc was faulty and wouldn't install properly.  When I consulted with EA help, they told me I could just download the game instead as I had purchased it from Origin.  I did that, it worked perfectly, and I find I like being able to play without having to insert the disc.  In fact, I like it so much that I've ordered the next stuff pack as a digital download.

Thanks for the kind advise. So from now on, I will purchase all of my Sims games as a digital download.
