I know next to nothing about Sims and gaming in general, but my daughter is an avid Sims fan and she's been playing it for a few years on a Windows 7 laptop. A few months ago, while she was home from college her dorm room was broken into. It wasn't until she packed to come home for Xmas break that she realized that her game CDs and DVDs were missing. She apparently always played Sims without a disc.
Anyway, she got a Windows 8 laptop for Christmas and wants, naturally, to be able to play Sims 3 Supernatural and Sims 3 Showtime on her new laptop. The new laptop for made just for games, so I imagine it has a better graphics card and maybe a faster processor.
Is there some method for getting the games, and all the additions/extensions she's downloaded onto the new laptop without posessing the original discs anymore?i
