Scholarly Pursuits, pt. I

Diary Entry

After my recent missions, I was looking forward to a few weeks at university.  Having been raised in the Create-a-Sim laboratory, I had never had the opportunity to attend school, and I was eager to savour all the experiences this new environment had to offer.  Shortly after my arrival, I received the message that I should go to the Student Union for orientation.  I donned my new backpack and off I went.



The orientation was called a "meet and greet." I entered into the spirit of things with great enthusiasm, meeting and greeting as many of my fellow students as possible.



One of my fellow students was an amateur genealogist.  She told me, "I can see from your regal bearing that you are descended from the proud and noble Oliver Clan, whose motto is 'Ad foedera cresco - I gain by treaty.'  Are you aware the local celtic shop carries tartan items?  You should check it out.  I have a part-time job there.  If you come when I'm in, I'll give you a good deal."



Regal bearing?  I wasn't sure about that.  Probably it was just the long hours of drilling and standing at attention I had been subjected to in the military.  But I did visit the shop, and I thought I looked quite dashing in my new kilt.*



The military had booked me into one of the free dorms.  After the orientation at the Student Union Building, I headed over to the dorm to meet my roommates and get settled in.

I was impressed with the calibre of my roommates.



Most of my roommates were quite friendly.



A few were not.



That evening, one of my new friends taught me how to bowl.



It was fun and I thought I did quite well.





By the end of the first day, I had met many new friends and was looking forward to my first day of classes.

We had to know a kilt was going to show up somewhere! Haha and of course he looks very dashing in it. I love his version of meeting and greeting! So Ben.

Why do I get the sense that once again, Ben has worked his way into an all-girls dorm?

Actually, it's a mixed dorm.  But I'm sure you can understand, Ben is mainly interested in his female roommates.    Actually, the male dorm residents don't seem to be around much.

As for Ben's kilt, it was never part of my plan to give him a kilt. I didn't even know that Oliver is a Scots name (along with several other nationalities, apparently).   But that tartan pattern of Gheez's is so beautiful, I had to use it!

I love how all of his friends happen to be females, quite often scantily clad as well.
I liked the image with two women in underwear, one in garters/tights!

I'll tell ya when I went to college I stayed in co-ed dorms and NO ONE dressed like that  ... maybe I went to a boring college... or if people like Ben were walking around maybe more women would have

A Dedicated Scholar, part II

Diary Entry

I had a gruelling schedule of classes and my days were very full.  I worked hard.



Well, you can't blame a guy for dozing off from time to time.

Every Thursday the Tech students gathered to have our brains enhanced. 



For a brief time I felt like a genius, but alas, it didn't last, and I had to reluctantly accept that I would never be in the same league as my friend Carl.

When not attending scheduled classes, I pursued my scientific studies.





The Natural Sciences were of particular interest to me.  I spent many hours learning more about human biology.





And I didn't neglect my physical fitness either.  I went for many long runs.



My friends were always inviting me to parties and then not turning up themselves.  It seemed to be a form of amusement for them, and I never did get to attend a party.  But I discovered I had a gift for public speaking.  My protest rallies were always well-attended and lively.







I enjoyed trying many new activities.





All too soon final exams were upon me.  Needing a quiet place to study, I found a deserted classroom and settled in for some serious cramming.



Success!  Polly and Sabrina came to attend my graduation.



My phone rang just as I was getting ready to leave for home after the graduation ceremony.



It was De Luca, calling to ask how I'd done.  I proudly told her that I had managed to graduate with honours. 

"And what did you learn?" she asked. 

I told her I had learned how to be daring and irresistible.  I imagined I could see her rolling her eyes. 

"Oliver," she said dryly, "the military didn't spend a bundle of money on your education just so you could impress your lady friends.  I hope you managed to learn something useful.  Now, listen.  You'll be coming home by train -"

Train?  I told her my flight was already booked and was scheduled to leave in an hour.  Why should I waste my time on a long train trip?

"I cancelled your plane ticket," she informed me.  "You will be escorting someone who needs to travel by train.  Her name is Princess Patricia.  You will pick her up at this address ..."

I made a note of the address but I was hardly listening.  Me escorting a princess?  A long romantic train trip with a princess?  Ben, my lad, here's your opportunity to show just how irresistible you can be!

I hurried back to the dorm to say goodbye to my roommates and collect my suitcase.  Princess, here I come!

Ben should probably tell Princess Patricia that he's her prince. 

I laughed when he said he learned about human biology. That was really funny.
