I was so excited to see a new update for this story because it meant two things. The most important one being that you are feeling well enough to post the update and the second being that I get to be entertained by more of Ben's attempts at stealth.

I also have to give credit to your top-hush button-lip team; they have done an amazing job with their lovely pageant ladies. The girls look stunning in their formal wear and their answers really let their personalities shine through!

So glad you getting better Schip, even if it is slowly! We all missed you so much! I have no clue who the guilty party is but I have to admit to wanting it to be Rhapsody's sim (Gracie, right?) The next pageant event was the talent contest.  Each contestant had to demonstrate her prowess in whatever talent she chose.  And the judges had different questions for each contestant as well.



"Constance, what is the one feature you would change about yourself and why?"

"I wish sometimes that I had more confidence in myself. I often doubt that I can achieve things. I really doubt myself all the time, and it's discouraging. I'd like to be able to change that."

"And if you had a magic wand, what one thing would you wish for?"

"Inspiration. Hands down. I think if I had just the right story, I could write something really timeless and wonderful.  Like my book, 'Quiet Time in Riverview.'  It was a best-seller!  If you read it, I think this book will give you a good idea of my writing talent," she said, handing out copies of the book.



"Theodora, if there was one thing you could do to change the Sim World, what would it be?"

"It's a toss up between giving Bonehilda her flesh back or removing the hard coding for the slob trait."

"What is the one feature you would change about yourself and why?"

"I'd toss my unflirty trait and become more personable.  I really would love to have relationships with men, and I'm certainly attracted to enough of them, but knowing what to say is just impossible.  But when I was at the School of Peace and Love, I used to watch my friend Declan's painting classes and I believe I have it in me to be a very talented painter.  Here, let me show you."



"Jamie, what is your definition of success?"

"I believe success is defined, when you reach that point in your career and family life that you are the most happy and achieved the goals that you set out to achieve, then you have become successful.  Money doesn't make a person successful, love and happiness and enjoying your work, is success."

"Which would you prefer - to marry a millionaire, or to find true love?"

"When I was younger, I use to think that money was everything, but I have learned, money does not make you happy.  Being with someone you truly love and loves you back, makes you happy.  Kind of gives you warm fuzzy feeling, I don't think you get fuzzy from money.  Now, for my talent demonstration, I would like to sing a beautiful old French love song, 'Je t'aime.'"



"Julienne, tell us five strong points about your city."

“I could talk for weeks about Twinbrook. It's full of culture, small enough to get to know everyone, and has a really good seafood industry for a start. And you can’t forget the awesome bar and the hotties who live by the lake!”

"Are you a good cook?"

“…You’re joking, right? Are you trying to insult me?  Here, let me show you what a talented cook I am!  I believe the true measure of a cook isn't making fancy dishes but being able to prepare a simple dish like mac and cheese and making it special.  Now, who wants to try it?"



"Gracie, what is the one feature you would change about yourself and why?"

"My fear of commitment. I think it’s a major reason why I keep hurting so many people and I’d like to stop feeling so scared of committing to a single sim. It’s very confusing when love makes you feel so wonderful and so traumatised all at the same time."

"What would be your logo on a t-shirt?"

"A picture of Babycakes (she’s my cat), with the saying: 'Kiss me, I’m cute!' Here’s a picture. Isn’t she just adorable?!  I love her so much, I've learned to make the best-ever gourmet cat food.  Let me demonstrate what a talented pet chef I am.  Who would like to sample it?  Nobody?"



After the pageant I asked Theodora if she'd like me to show her around Monte Vista.  "Oh yes, I've been dying to see the Bonbon Lawn Park!" she exclaimed, and off we went.



Theodora had said she was interested in getting rid of her Unflirty trait.  I was sure I could help her with that.



Well, she might be ready to change some day but unfortunately she wasn't quite there yet.



"Oh, Ben, let's not waste time on all that!" she said.  "Here we are in this lovely park, and I want to swing!  Push me!"*

So I spent my time pushing Theodora higher and higher.  She was so engrossed in swinging that she never noticed me rifling through her purse between pushes.



In fact, she didn't even notice when I departed and left her alone enjoying her swing.



My attempts to romance the beauty contestants hadn't been a resounding success so far.  But De Luca would be pleased with my dedication to duty.  On to the next girl on my list.
