Ha!  It absolutely was.  I need to not have multiple stories open at once!  How embarrassing.  Olivia would be a wonderful mother, I'm sure.

Honey Trap, part I

May had instructed her, "Make eye contact.  Let him see you're interested."

Olivia watches as Darren Lott gets a drink and moves toward her.



He puts down his drink and comes to her table.  "Hi there, my name's Darren."



May had advised, "Be shy.  Make him do the work.  Be hard-to-get, but not too hard."

Hard-to-get but not too hard?  How on earth was she supposed to know how hard was too hard?  Heart beating fast, Olivia tries to pitch her voice just right as she simpers and says in what she hopes is a coy manner, "Hi, I'm Olivia."



He sits down.  Gazing into her eyes, he says, "I'm sure I've never seen you here before.  I would have remembered someone as beautiful as you."



Olivia giggles and tries to blush.  "Oh ... aren't you sweet!  The yacht just docked this morning.  This is my first day in Sunlit Tides."

Darren:  "Yacht?"

May had said, "Let him know you're rich.  It might help to make the package more attractive, can't hurt."

Olivia:  "Daddy's yacht.  The SS Simoleon.  Mummy and Daddy gave me this trip as my graduation present for completing my course at finishing school."

Darren:  "I've never seen a yacht!  That must cost a lot of money."

Olivia:  "Oh, Daddy's got buckets of simoleons."



Olivia continues, "Mummy and Daddy think it's time for me to settle down and get married.  They want to find a 'suitable' husband for me.  But I think a girl should have a bit of fun before settling down.  What do you think?"



Darren agrees wholeheartedly.  "But you just never know, Olivia, when the right person will come along.  Take me, for instance - I've known many beautiful women, but true love just never seems to come my way.  A guy gets lonely being on his own all the time."



Darren continues, "Then again, maybe it's time for my luck to change."

Olivia looks puzzled and asks what Darren means.



"Never mind, it's not important," he says.  "Would you like to dance?"

They dance -



and talk -

"Make him laugh!" said May.



and flirt -



"Look at the time!" exclaims Olivia.  "How did it get to be so late?  The chef will have dinner ready soon - I must go."

Darren takes Olivia's hands.  "Olivia, say you'll spend the evening with me.  Please!  We can go out to dinner and then to a club I know - say yes!"

Olivia pretends to hesitate, then she says yes, and Darren offers to give her a ride back to the yacht so she can change clothes.



He drops her off, promising to return in two hours.

I have to tell you something that happened when I was playing this.  Darren kept popping wishes to kiss Olivia.  I expected she would get the same kind of wishes because of her traits and the romantic interactions.  But no.  Olivia's wish:  to make an improved widget.  No kidding.  For some reason, it reminded me of that scene at the end of Gone With the Wind, when Scarlett is being all emotional and Rhett says "Frankly, my dear, I don't give a xxx."  I kept hearing Olivia saying, "Frankly, my dear, I'd rather make widgets."  Sometimes I think Sims are smarter than we give them credit for!

Louise, you're a brave woman! 

Olivia's clothes were definitely a challenge.  You will be seeing her in several different outfits as the story progresses.  We did our best, but I don't think Olivia's wardrobe is going to make the Sim fashion runways any time soon.

Great update.  Sims autonomous interactions really are weird and often contrary to what we think they should be, but hey, that's what keeps us playing the game.

Ok, I had a dream last night that I was Oliver dressed as Olivia. He/I pretty much did the same thing he did in this chapter. Except it was a water park, not a club. Weird.

I just started this and now I'm hooked. My favourite chapter was the one with the indignant Watcher being locked out of the room. But they are all good, of course, as one would expect from any Schipperke story! More please, and soon!

First Olivia, now I'm having crazy dreams! Is this a sign? Also, it wasn't an ordinary water park. It was a KIDDIE water park. With water playgrounds, slides, etc. And most of them were broken. I have the strangest dreams.
