Patching up

I've recently installed the Sims on my new computer. Do I have to install each patch individually, or can you get it completely patched up in a click or two.
I'm having trouble because our downloading has a limit, a very small limit. I can only download patches in the wee hours, so if I have to download each individually, it could several weeks.

The main game has only one patch and it will just be the one time - however there were little patches for each of the EPs & SPs before Generations that have to be done individually and are usually best done during the installing process.

So if I wish to install Generations, which I own, each patch will be individual, but after that I only need one more patch which will be all of the patches combined?
I am confused by this because wasn't there patches in between eps as well? But from what you said Ricalynn, I think that each patch will have to be downloaded separately. So, it'll be a while until I'm up to date.
(I've recently been liberated from sister's computer, she did all the patching)

The base game has 1 patch up to 1.39 and this covers most of the games.   World Adventures, High-End Loft Stuff Pack, Ambitions, Fast Lane, Late Night, and Outdoor Living all also have individual patches that are best done while installing usually.   There are no patches for content after Generations because it's included in the base game 1.39 patch.

Okay. Thank you, that really clears it up for me. so I just have to do WA-Gen and then and subsequent patches, and 1.39.
So that is 6 patches or 7 if I have not gotten 1.39. Thank you very much!
