Can you go into buy mode, using MoveObjects On, and maybe move the offenders to a different spot on the lot (in the event it's that particular spot of the lot that is causing the offense)?

Great scores! I'm not sure if I will be able to finish (darn you, real life job!) but I'm going to keep working on it. I've never played a challenge like this before. It's long and stressful, but I'm also really enjoying it.

One quick question - With the new patch out, are we required to patch the game to the current release for this challenge file? I know the rules say to be patched up currently, but I just wanted to clarify if that meant we must patch mid-challenge or just for new challenges.

EDIT: I see now that this is in the General Tournament Rules, my apologies.

Yes, you are supposed to patch up when the new patch comes out. To minimize glitches, pull your challenge file (and other game files you don't want glitched) to desktop, patch, then return them to the Saves file.

If you don't know where to find your challenge file, look under Documents, Electronic Arts, The Sims 3, Saves. And also check the Technical Section of the Forum for more info.

Thanks for the mulligan, Metro, but on trying to restart, my game's become essentially unplayable right now :( I've posted on the tech help forum now - no point spamming this one, and hopefully someone can help me fix things before I run out of time on the challenges!

And I had a full plan for once, too!! Bummer...

I'm soo impressed by all the scores coming in, I almost can't wait for the challenge to be over to pick some of your guys' brains :)

Whew! Finally finished, wasn't sure I'd make it with work being hectic at the moment, but Elphaba and Fiyero Thropp managed 11 children.

8 moved out - 8 x 3 = 24
2 Sims at home with their YA requirements completed - 2 x 2 = 4
3 Sims at home without their YA requirements completed - 3 x 1 = 3

24 + 4 + 3 = 31

Come to think of it, playing this challenge is almost as hectic as work as been, at least I can play a different file with the sims! Really pleased to have finished it though, I've never had that many children in the house before. Looking forward to seeing how people got such massive scores and still have their sanity (relatively ;)) intact!

I stayed up really late last night, trying to get as close to done as I could before time's up. Right before I got too sleepy to continue, on game week 10, day 3, my pregnant mother Sim had a wish to spend 1000 Simoleons at the spa. Without thinking, I teleported her over and clicked "Volcanic Clay Bath". I went to bed soon after.

When I started a session again today, I noticed that her remaining days to age up were higher than I remembered. Then I saw the "Rejuvenated" moodlet, and I remembered what I'd done.

What a way to end it all. On the bright side, those 19 kids were quite a handful, and I'm sure Mom and Dad are really, really tired.

Do Spa treatments change the age?

No, they don't.

Tattoos at the spa do, though.

Maybe I'm just bad at math at the moment...I have flu and shouldn't have worked on this while I'm so out of it.

I am certain my mother Sim hasn't had contact with anything life-extending, except if the Volcanic Clay Bath counts as the mud bath listed in the ban list. (?)

@ Antalia

I think Metro is talking about the mud bath that comes with Sunlit Tides.  Not the spa  :)

Sunlit Tides is not a playable world for challenges so I would assume it is the mud bath at the spa so I would wait on one of the challenge moderators before doing anything more on your file!

The mud bath feature of the Steam-It Up Sauna that came with Sunlit Tides will reset your age. That sauna can be placed separately in any world, not just in Sunlit Tides.
