Oh my, I seriously underestimated how long this was going to take. After speeding through 4 weeks in the handyman challenge, my 12 or so weeks spent mostly with what felt like the game on pause has fried my brain.

X and Y Chromosome managed to kick out 32 kids, with 5 still left at home at the end of the challenge.

32*3+2*2+5*1= 105 points.

The Lamaze family is done!

Moved out kids   19
Sims at home with unique LTW & LTR   2
Sims at home without unique LTW   5

= (19*3) + (2*2) + 5
Total Score   66

Where are you going - come back and snuggle that baby!  I mean it!   ;)

I am so happy to have joined this challenge. It is so much fun. I thought I would go crazy having to nurse all those babies!

Well here goes my pitiful score of 27  :-\

Mom, Clove, and Dad, Basil, had a total of 12 kids.

6 moved out and 6 remained at home.

12-6=6

6*3=18

8 family members remained in the home, but only mom attained her ltw/rewards.

1*2=2
7*1=7
All together that's 18+2+7=27

Thought of a lot of things I could have done differently after the fact..go figure. Had a tough time getting any kids to finish the collection challenge, too. I would get up to 9 butterflies or 9 gems and couldn't get another unique kind to spawn. Gah! so frustrating. It was a pretty cool challenge. I really like seeing if the kids would look like mom and dad =)

I seem to have a glitch in my game: the mother stops aging when there are 14 days left to her adult birthday. It happened in my trial run and it has happened now in my scoring file. Everybody else seems to age normally although I have not followed them as closely as the mother.

I figure it must have something to do with the long life span. YA is 45 days for the long life span minus 21 days for the normal life span = 14 days.

Mother has not aged although I have done the usual tricks: deleted the cache files, restarted the game and my computer several times etc. Nothing seems to help. I did the factory reset a couple of weeks ago and since the I have no cc or store content in my game.

Since the glitch already happened in my test run, I have kept close eye and records on mom's age meter:
week 3 day 5 = 22
week 3 day 6 = 21
week 4 day 2 = 18
week 4 day 3 = 17
week 4 day 5 = 15
week 4 day 6 = 14
week 4 day 7 = 14
week 5 day 1 = 14

Do you have any suggestions how to solve the issue? Or can I keep on playing and age mother up with the cake when she should naturally age up?

Well, since she stops aging then you may be the lucky one who posts getting 1000 kids!  ;D I'm kidding. Lol. Go ahead and cake her up when it is her birthday unless anyone else has suggestions.

Not to be nitpicky :) but 45 days minus 21 days is 24 days not 14 days.  I have seen this glitch before, and it seems it was fixed by moving the mom and/or resetting mom.

Teresa, you caught me there ;) My bad, so that does not explain why the age is stuck. Maybe I'll try resetting the mother now.

I have a feeling though that maybe the aging glitch is spreading. VJ Alvi is still a teen when I am well into week 5 in the game. Teen stage is 30 days with the long life span, so if I have done the maths right this time, he should be YA by now. If the town has stopped aging, I may have trouble finding suitable romantic interest for my future teens.

Urgh collecting is so difficult!  :o sobs sobs

If we encounter the drop traits bug, are we allowed to use cheats to add it back?

I do a lot of collecting when I play normally, so I'm finding that one of the easier challenges. I don't let my Sims have lots of kids though, and that part is killing me. I'm just glad I generally play with the sound off, because I can just keep singing along with my music when the kids are wailing. (I'm sure everyone will be relieved I don't have real children by this point.)

I'm glad there are more future challenges posted now, because while I'm suffering I can look forward to the gnomes!

Niana - I actually removed your post because what you talked about is considered strategy.    I'll PM the answer to your question though.

:) Yeah definitely sounds like it is the aging glitch.  Hopefully you can get it resolved.

I am having a hard time with the collection challenge portion of this. Usually, I love collecting with adults but with the children, I can't find things in the collection journal.  Don't know why wildflowers are not there!  Any suggestions would be appreciated.  I have read eveything I can on collecting.

Wildflowers have never been a part of the collection journal.   The ones that do work are the little green notebook on the inventory tab.   Gems, butterflies, beetles, metals.  Finding these items are a part of the strategy so no one can tell you how to do it.

Calvin and Natalie Spring popped out 16 children!
They also completed their Unique Lifetime Wishes and each purchased a Unique Lifetime Reward.
2 x 2 = 4 Points

Gemma, Patrick, Veyda, Jackson, Callie, Liam, Zaire, Georgia, Chloe, Sera and Florence each completed a Unique Lifetime Wish and purchased a Unique Lifetime Reward.
11 x 3 = 33 Points

Xavier, Hudson, Ethan, Gavin, and Daniel were all still living at home, but none achieved their Lifetime Wishes.
5 x 1 = 5 Points

Total: 42 Points

I can't wait to see how the really high scores were achieved. As the challenge went on, I realized I could have tackled it in a much different way, but by then it was quite far in, and I just wanted to get it done!
