bealeywife's final score does match with 4 points for the parents, so 73 should stand.

I'm going to try this one.  I'm starting my scoring file now.

So all is going well... surprisingly so actually.
However, my Sims seem to be getting a very large number of days off from work/school for no apparent reason. It is making it extremely difficult to get some of the LTW's completed in a reasonable time. Example: on Sunday it will say school starts in 1 day x hours. On monday, it will again say school starts in 1 day x hours. Then tuesday they may go to school, then not wednesday or thursday.
All sims who are in school will get the same days off, but for those in careers, it varies from sim to sim.
Any ideas?

Holidays, graduation & snow days seem like the most likely culprits.  I know for career Sims if a graduation happened on the weekend - they still get the next day off from work.

Ahhh that could be it then. I did not realize they got time off for graduation. Thanks Rica.
No snow days, I turned winter off for this challenge.  ;D

Aiden and Azrel Abyss had 21 kids. Bain, Bliss, Cyan, Dink, Delfina, Eartha, Felix, Guinevere, Hazelle, Hendrix, Herman, Ingrid, Justine, Jasper, Khaleesi, Linus, Maude, Mythe, Magnolia, Neal and Nestor.

Sorry had to list them all. But making the names was the fun part of the challenge for me.

17 Kids moved out      17 x 3 = 51
 4  Kids left at home     4 x 1 =   4
 2  Parents LTW/LTR     2 x 2 =   4

Final Score 59

I tried so super hard to have at least 30 kids.  I did my very best and at the end thought of a different strategy that would have helpped me with completing the LTW which was the hardest part for me.  Raising kids ~ easy. Giving them what they truly wish for in life ~ hard.

Congrats to the higher scores.  I don't know how you did it so I can't wait to hear all about it.

Well after what seems to have been the 2 millionth crashing of my challenge file, I've had enough.

Breeder and Grainfor Tribble had 5 tribblets, none of whom moved out of home. No one achieved LTWs either.

So that is 7 x 1 = 7

A grand total of 7 points

Children's names were: Andorian, Bajoran, Cardassian, Deltan and Entharan

I very much enjoyed these theme names. The idea of naming them Tribble is particularly hilarious. And I am impressed that you did both alphabet and Star Trek species. Very creative!

I've had enough

my game hasn't even crashed and I know how you feel. I've started a dynasty as a distraction from the insanity. Anyway Deklitch, thank you. You've encouraged me to go back to Baby Boomer and if it's too much I'll give it up and register my single digit score (if we're allowed to do that of course).

Reading your comment broke my heart. Hats off to you for your courage and effort. Sometimes I think we, the players, could use some supernatural powers ourselves - a magic wand to fix buged files would be nice.

I finally have some time for Sims so I started my BabyBoomer file after making pages and pages of plans on paper. Based on those I'm thinking Nuttela hit pretty close to the max number of nooboos. Congratulations Nuttela, your score is fantastic.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that clearing all the caches is enough to give me a chance to finish this challenge. :P

Good luck to everyone. I can't wait to hear all your different strategies.
I ain't quiet - everybody else is too loud. (The Who)

You can submit the score you get.  It doesn't matter what it is as the challenges are for the fun of us all right?

@Dek - sorry to hear about your crashing problems.  Thank you for submitting a score though.   Your naming themes always bring a smile to my face when thinking about it.

After giving up on this challenge awhile ago, I think I'm going to give it another go. I might as well. My life is so stressful at the moment - I might as well let my sims know what it feels like!!!

Go, go and go everybody!!!

My advise to you...Start your scoring file and play it out.  I can't tell you how many practice runs I did.  When I was so far in my scoring file, I kept thinking I can't do this. I just can't because I'll never beat the scores up there.  In the end I forgot it was a challenge I just played to have fun with the rules in mind.  I didn't get the score I thought I could but I'm proud that I finished.  Good Luck!!!

That's exactly what I'm doing.  I only played 3 sim days of practice in the first event and I'm skipping practice files entirely for this one.

That is great advice. Due to family comitments I can only play in short bursts so it is taking a long time to get this challenge done. I just take it one Sim day at a time and don't worry about anyone elses score.
I just reached double figures in kids and was so proud of myself.
