Just kicked out my first YA, 5 teens to go and mom's pregnant again. AAH I'm not sure if I'm up to repeating this all over again probably another four times (I'm halfway through week 3...)

After a while you kind of become numb.

Totally.  I had a breakthrough today, a "Why didn't I think of that sooner?!" moment.  After having done things the hard way for nearly half the challenge, I couldn't go forward just then.  I took a break and played another big family where I could just let the kids run wild.   8)

I've just started... I have a bit of a strategy in mind, but I doubt it's the best possible way of tackling this. Bad luck from the start though, Mom is 6 days into Young Adult... Thats two pregnancies!!

Are you on the long lifespan? Because even if the mother's lifespan is shortened, it shouldn't be shortened that much.

I realised my mistake when Mom was an Adult. I don't want to start over though even though my score will be awful because it is sooo much work.

Ladyaya - Thank you so much!!! It was set to normal, not long. It was still the first day so I just went into options and changed it - I hope that was allowed?

EDIT - Now it shows that Mom only has 28 days til she ages up to Adult, though the lifespan is 45 days for Young Adult... What do I do?!?

I hope I can, it's evening on the first day, so I haven't really gotten in far at all.
I'll wait for a Challenge Mod.

Ok, I know that I've seen someone reference this -somewhere-, but how do I keep all of my mods off and yet have them available for my other games I play? Just pull them out and then back in the file? I want to do this challenge, but am hoping there's an easier way to do this other than swapping around. Thanks!

I would recomend that you do a factory reset and to do your challenges in the new clean file. Then you can just switch between the two files depending on what you are playing.

Another option would be to just move your entire mods folder whenever you are playing a challenge.

That's what I was trying to remember, the factory reset. Thank you!

You're fine. :) Go ahead and start over with the Long setting in place. Good luck in the event.
