Good luck to everyone!   I just did my first practice run and it crashed & burned... bad.

Mind games....lulling us into a false sense of security... Bet your scores every bit as amazing as your handyman score.  ;D

Ahhh you don't fool me!   :P

I just hope I can finish it...to do that though, I really need to start it...and to do that I need to finish my handyman game!

Quick question:
Are there any rules concerning the careers of the parents? Or can these just be up to the player?

I don't see any.

Thanks--just wanted to make sure.
(Yes! A challenge I might actually succeed in!)

Edit: If you complete the LTW of a household member, purchase a unique LTR for them, then kick them out, do the points from the LTW and LTR count towards total scoring, or do they need to be living in-household at the time?
Edit 2: Never mind, I just realized that one must complete the LTW to actually move the Young Adult out. Sorry!

I am super excited for this one.  I'm just hoping my real attempt goes better than my practice!

Has anyone made a speadsheet for this challenge that you wouldn't mind sharing?  I've been trying to make one on Google documents and I'm just drawing a blank on how to organize it to include all of the elements.

I had made myself one in excel, I just imported it to google docs and filled in a sample sheet, if it looks useful feel free to download a copy.

LenaLJ, I like yours also because you have it setup to do the math, but it's giving a error when a copy is made and will not do the math. Trying to see if I can figure it out.

Edited
I figured it out. It's the "Sims at home without YA Complete".  You have both N and O only needs to be the O with the no in it.

I like yours better than mine LenaLJ, I've downloaded it and may switch over, it looks easier to keep track of, I never thought of doing it along the top when I made mine but that seems more logical.

It does help to write things down, I thought i'd failed last night after I had caked up a child I thought ready only to realise I didn't have any oven/blocks skill on my spreadsheet, luckily when I sent her to cook it said due to her toy oven skills she will start at level 3, I must have forgotten to jot that down but I was so relieved at that message.

I won't share my spreadsheet as it's very similar to those already linked to but I also had columns for the children's traits between each age stage. This was so I could see step by step what I needed to consider and plan ahead for the LTWs, probably other folk can manage that stuff in their head but I need all the help I can get as this challenge will be VERY tough.
