For the scoring is the members in the household and members in the household that have completed their LTW only for the children or does that include the parents?

"Sims in the household" means everyone, children and parents.

Phooey! My practice game croaked after I had 6 kids (1 YA/5 Teens). It made me sad, but I wiped all my caches and only installed official EA content. I'll just have to repopulate! Plus my game is running so much better without all that clutter..

Suppose a sim attains the LTW as a teen, then does s/he have to complete the teen requirements to age to adult and move out?

In the rules it says moving out is a part of the Young Adult stage so you can only move Sims out after they have reached YA.

Just to add what Rica said about moving out, there is not only the part mentioned in the YA Life Stage requirement about moving out, but this is a whole separate rule at the top:


• Household members can only move out upon reaching Young Adult stage and completing the YA life stage goals listed below

The rules state the dad's life state does not matter. That's all you need to know.

I know the kids have to have a unique LTW and LTR to move out.  Can the mother and father have the same LTW's?

If you want the max points then the parents need to have unique LTW's too.

Well, for everyone that is left in the house at the end -- those Sims must have unique LTW.

I have been practicing and doing this in my trials.  I'm hoping that I'm not cheating so I'm asking to make sure.

I've been editing the room colors which doesn't spend money but makes the room look more pleasing.  But I do this before I move the sims in so that way in the world the house is set the way I want it before I add sims to it.  I save the world then so if I want to change traits or LTW with my sims I don't have edit the house each time. I haven't added anything with value just changing the visual appearance of the room.  Am I cheating?

Also does it matter if you play the sims before your scoring file.  Does anything save to the sim itself after you've played them in move in household file.  I just want to make sure that when I start the scoring I haven't done anything that is consider cheating.

Yes that is an illegal use of Edit Town.

Yes everything saves to the Sims if you use household so you can't use that method.  For all challenges, you have to pull the sims straight from CAS not move household in.  When we say create 2 sims, that means pull up a brand new world, add the lots you want, hit create a household, make your two Sims, place the Sims and then start.

I am sooooo glad I asked.  I wasn't sure and now I know.  I'll make sure not to use that method when I start the scoring file.  Good thing I haven't done a challenge and used that method yet. Thanks for clearing that up.

I know it doesn't matter for this challenge but in the future it might.  Does it matter if you change the color of the room without spending money if you're not suppose to upgrade the house?

@Noocherenee, as long as it doesn't involve "edit town" to do so, you can do that as long as you're not using cheats, and you stay within the parameters of that particular challenge.

I'm a little confused, I have just been dissecting the rules so I can be absolutely sure of what to do, but on one bit is says:

Young Adult Stage Goals:
• If a Young Adult completes a unique LTW and purchases 1 unique LTR, they can be moved out.

but a little further down when doing the scoring it states:

Now take a look at your remaining Household members and write down how many of the 7 (5 children + your starting pair) attained their Lifetime Wish and purchased their 2 unique LTR. Let’s say 4 of the 7 completed their LTW and purchased their rewards:

Is it one or two unique LTRs?
