Please define 'no adding to household'?
Thank you. :)

You can never have more than one portrait on the left side of your screen with a Sim's picture on it.    As explained in this thread, no pets, no enscorcelling, nothing.

One Sim for four weeks - no one else.

Aargh!

Alice MacGyver was on her way to a respectable score for those who haven't figured out the trick when she wanted to eat a magic jellybean.

She died.  I didn't know that could do that.

Anyways, 36 total upgrades, 70% unique, for a final score of 25.

At least now I can focus on BBIV, which I'm pretty sure I have a good strategy for.

Don't feel to bad.  I killed my sim Orchid during this challenge.  She was hit by a meteor so I even had a warning that death was coming.  But I had never seen anything like it and didn't do anything to help her.  I had a really good strategy too. I was really bummed I only got to week 2 day 5.  But it was so much fun playing.

Enscorcel is adding to the household?  I didn't think it was because they actually don't move into your house.  Good thing I know that now.

You have control over the Sim and they are viewable to you as their picture appears on the user interface (UI) so as far as the challenge board is concerned that is adding to the household.   They may not live with you but you had control of them..  This will be true for all challenges and dynasties.  It's why ensorcelling is not allowed in the life states dynasty as well.

Thanks Rica :)  Good thing I didn't use it for this challenge and the baby boomer I was still on a practice.  I didn't realize that until now.

Sorry Metro - not sure what went wrong with the maths there. I was ill that day, so will have to blame a muddled head!
Re-scored: Total upgrades 148, percentage unique 88% = total score 130. Even worse than I thought!!

I have a theory as to what was involved in The Trick, but I couldn't quite figure out the mechanics of it (so to speak). Anyway, with no further ado...

Mandy S. Revenge was pleased that she beat her distant nearly-identical cousin's score in last year's challenge by a landslide, but even more pleased to finally stop that infernal racket. She will never ever pick up another hammer if she can help it. :P

229 upgrades
93% unique upgrades
229 x 0.93 = 212.97 = 212 points

Ms. Mandy Fixer has managed to upgrade 1,242 objects. 85% of her upgrades were unique.

1242 X .85 = 1,055.7

Grand total is 1055

Everybody congrats on finishing!

I am done practicing (I think ;)) so I am almost ready to start my scoring file. (yay!)

Before I do, I have a question. Unfortunately UC didn't work for me because the save files just got too big, so I am gonna play in another world. With many EA worlds, lots from EP's are randomly placed in the world. They are often on plots that are way too big (so that's a waste) and turned completely the wrong way. If I choose one of those worlds, am I allowed to do something about that? Just like we are in the Dynasty Challenges for instance? (switch them with others in the world for better use of the sizes / turn them around / delete those which didn't came standard with the world)

Just checking in advance. Hope you don't mind me asking! :)
Problem? Don't panic! There is always a solution. You just have to find it  :D
