If you have Seasons installed and you start a new game file (which you have to do for every scoring file), then festival lots are already placed.  The only two towns that this doesn't happen is Monte Vista (which isn't allowed in the tournament) and Union Cove.   So I think placing a festival lot isn't actually an issue as you only have to manually do it in one allowed town.   As far as I can tell based on the current ruleset that it would be allowable to choose one to place in Union Cove as well as it would be considered a missing lot and they are EA provided in the lot library.

Metro - is that ok with you?   

Union Cove has been updated to version 3 which has the Seasons festival park installed.  You can download the newest version from the guide.  Make sure you carefully follow all instructions for installation.

All mods must either be unistalled or disabled once you begin practicing for a challenge.

No.   These lots are not available in the community lot bin and they don't come with a home world.

It says to set the sim lifespan to long, but then it says to leave thr plumbob in the middle at it's default setting (which is "normal", not "long". I'm confused, which is it?!

It needs to be on the long setting - but underneath that slider is a whole bunch of sliders for each life stage and those have to remain in the center where they start.

I have an edit town query, I know we cannot move auto placed lots but if a lot has been auto placed we do not need for that game and is taking up a plot that is the right size for one we do need can we bulldoze it?

I just opened up Sunset Valley and because I now have Supernatural it's shifted all the auto placements, I have one more lot I wanted to add which is a 30x40 and no more empty ones that size but the Salon is taking up a 40x40, I wish it had stuck it on one of the many empty 20x30 plots, auto placement really makes no sense at times.

If you have empty lots you're not using you can bulldoze the empty lots and place a 30 x 40.  Otherwise, no you can't bulldoze autoplaced lots.


There has been a rule change that needs to be brought to people's attentions though:

If your town has run out of lots and there is absolutely nowhere else to place a lot that doesn't cause a 4 hour routing path, you are allowed to delete empty residential lots.   This will change per challenge but for the ones that don't require you to live in a townie house this would be acceptable.   

However if there is a spot you can place something like in the middle of the soccer field next to the Bridgeport school, you have to place there first before deleting a residential lot.

Thanks Ricalynn, I thought that might be the case, there are quite a few empty 30x30 I can always bulldoze one of those.

Sorry for double post but it's been a day.

If we travel to Uni are we allowed to alter the weather settings when we arrive to be the same as the home town settings? it always resets to default with everything back on, I'm there at the moment and it's done nothing but rain and thunder  ::)

Okay I have a question. Now where in the rules does it specify pet lifespan. It specifically says Sims lifespan set to long without moving the sliders so does this mean we are free to move the sliders for the pets lifespan?

No sliders can be touched.  Default settings for all life spans - Sim or pet.   It's generalized since pets are Sims, too.  I'll clarify the rules for you though.
