Not exactlyReka: "Wait.. who was that?"
-evil laughter- Guess who's at the controls now. Reka: "Oh no. Not you."
Only temporarily. I need to tell you how to work the mailbox.Reka: "The mailbox?"
That's the portal for your weekly reports. Since you saw fit to get rid of our watcher, we're having to use that method of communication so that the chosen mediator can have time for herself.Reka: "Who is this mediator?"
Adrasteia was the one chosen. Reka: "So the game is stacked against me from the beginning huh?"
I actually have a soft spot for evil people so you really have no leg to stand on there. Look just look in the mailbox for the instructions that I wrote for you. Keep in touch with Addy as much as possible and try to behave. Reka: "Try to behave? Who do you think you are?"
At one point, I was like a grandfather to you. Don't you forget that. It was you who betrayed us after your accident. You broke Aker's heart and for that there are some of us that find it hard to forgive you. It was Rica who stuck up for you when we were all plotting revenge. It was that betrayal that allowed Aker to accept Anita's affections. Anyway. Don't be a dunce, read the instructions. There is also a book for you to read with all the rules. I doubt they knew it when they gave you two this task that this one seems easier just more random. Good luck. I mean it. Reka: "Huh. He does go on, doesn't he? " -checks the mailbox and tries to not to feel anything about her tormentor-
Dear Addy..
(heh)Since I have to make reports to you maybe I should try to be a thorn in your side like your family is to me. I could send you a report with a lot of this kind of thing...
Yes that's right I bought a shower before anything else. Don't forget how I died.
Strategy of choice: Lots of friendship elixirs until I find the right one
It's so pretty and pink!
However, I'm not entirely certain that I want to stoop down to that level. The grandsire has spoken to me and let me know that you were chosen to be the mediator. I hadn't planned on them dragging you into this. You deserve your life with Gilberto.
I met a man at the consignment shop on my first day in town. He was no Aker Grim but he was kind and attractive in a way I hadn't expected to feel.
He told me that he thought we were made for each other and than asked for my sign. It was afterwards I found out his name was Luke McDermott and he was actually already married! He was also closing up the shop so I couldn't look at what was to offer that day. Guess that's what I get for spending so much time meeting people over at the elixir shop.
Of course, wouldn't you know as soon as I left the consignment shop I ran into my first rain shower. Great. Just Great. So I did what any dynasty founder would have done.
I went to the fire station.
After eating some pick-me-up junk food, I decided to brave the rain to go back to my new home and put together a one room hut that will suffice until I find the new Mr. Fable. The book I received had a special note that I suspect was in Artie's writing that said no Billy Caspian and no Jon Lessen for at least two generations. I finally decided to read the paper and you know what I found there? A weather forecast. That would have been good to know a few hours ago. Dripping wet, I finished reading the paper. I noticed some sparkles on the mailbox so I stepped over to it for a look inside. There were four gifts from friends of Rica. I decided to take two - I got Bliss potions! Those should come in handy while I slave away at my workbench.
I won't bother you with too many photos of me spending time at the inventing table. I did adopt a horse one morning. Yes I know this is a dynasty and after I figured out I would need to learn inventing, I knew I would never pick up riding. I adopted a horse because it was free and I could sell it. I spent a few moments with little Brownie. She was gorgeous but eventually I had to say goodbye to her. She brought in a little under §2000 which is a lot at this stage. I hadn't realized just how poor you start out. If Artie's try at this is any indication though, I realize that over time money will never be a problem again.
I think the randomizer had a field day when deciding what my new traits would be. Apparently every time I see a supernatural being, I now turn into some type of fangirl. It's a weird sensation to say the least but it does make for some interesting conversations. Take for instance Ma Bagley. The head of the local crime family and she has the tiniest little fairy wings I've ever seen. Next thing I know the cutest thing I've ever seen comes over to sniff me.
Her name is Pinky. I swear it came that way and I adopted her about 5 minutes after I met her. I don't know why the Bagleys brought their puppy to Varg's but I'm glad they did.
I immediately took her home and got her everything a puppy could use. I can't wait until she's bigger. Yes it will be a bonus that she'll be able to hunt but I swear that wasn't my strategy when I adopted her. It just kind of came to my attention after the fact. I am struggling a bit with money right now and having someone bring home a tiberium would be really nice.
I enjoy playing with my new little friend. Her birthday wasn't for another week but I don't mind that much. I guess I hadn't realized how lonely I was until I had her in my life.
Luckily she doesn't mind playing by herself while I try to catch up on shut eye either. I just can't seem to work out a schedule for myself.
Pinky's new stuff isn't the only hot pink things I've seen recently though. Luke now has wings which puts him closer to being someone I might want to get to know I guess. This is a life states dynasty after all. But he's still married and I remember how I felt when I heard that Aker was hanging out with Anita.
By the time the full moon came, I was ready to pull my hair out. I had two opportunities and my extra special best friend already figured out. Nothing else was progressing as I had hoped it would. So with the moon's light all around me I went scoping out the furry friends of the neighborhood.
I met one interesting fellow over by the diner. Too bad it turned out this fine furry friend was Billy Caspian so he's not an option. You know if he hadn't growled his name I probably would have never guessed it was him.
I wanted to end the week on a high note and I'm fairly certain I did that though. While walking around I met someone who is absolutely fantastic! He's kind and brave and extremely handsome. Especially in his uniform.
Part of me wants to blame the full moon for what happened but I know better. It was chemistry plain and simple.
Very nice chemistry if I do say so myself.
Of course something just had to mess up my plans to continue wooing him though.
It was then that George said he had to get back to working the streets as a cop. I bid him farewell and looked at the zombie who had interrupted us.
Then another one came...
Reka: "I hate you both. Just saying"Well that's it for my first week in Riverview. I hope your time with Gilberto has been happy times. I miss some of our conversations and I hope that you don't hold too much against me considering I'm in this against your mother and not just the normal dynasty fate holders.
Until next time --
Reka
