Thanks, all, for your well wishes for our adoption. It has been one heck of a roller coaster and things are less certain than they were when I last posted, but we're moving forward and hoping for the best.
Now an update!
Here's the shot of Jasper's father, Topher Baker, I promised last time. He's old, but you get the picture.
Soon after Jasper's birth, Gil grows up. Gilbert Dimitri Sims is the son of Genesis and Dimitri Ivanov. His traits are:
- Adventurous
- Athletic
- Insane
- Light Sleeper
- Rebellious
His lifetime wish is Great Explorer. He is a Leo and enjoys indie music, fried peanut butter and banana sandwiches and the color orange.
So much time elapses between the writing of each update and when I take the pictures, I often forget why I took them.
I think I took this one because it looks like Isidore is trying to raise a magical snow pixie army.
Izzy's a bit of a scaredy cat.
What's he afraid of?
Big, bad homecoming queen monster!
. . .
Frightening though she may be, Harriet's Godzilla impression wins the heart of this fellow, whose name doesn't matter.
I also don't remember it.
Godzilla's army of . . . happy, smiling snowbeasts.
Sadly, winter comes to an end and her majesty's snowbeasts desert her.
Ah, teen angst.
Random shot of Genesis in her formalwear. She almost never gets dressed up, so this is a real treat. One of my favorite makeovers ever.
Tinkerbell is still kicking, both figuratively and literally.
Though maybe not for long . . .
The Sims were robbed twice. The first time it was a burglar. The second time a police officer failed to catch the burglar with her cute rainbow umbrella.
Birthdays have become rather boring: the twins turn into teens.
Ivan and Isidore, respectively. This puts the number of teens in the house at way too many. The angst level is skyrocketing.
Not the door!
Sigh, more angst.
And now time for baby K.
Daddy K is Raymond Dunham, a bin elder I plopped into the neighborhood at an earlier point. His son is Kermit Raymond Sims, eccentric and neurotic, bringing the total number of children to 12, eight boys and four girls. There are actually only three beds in the boys' room, so someone might be on his way to being a mama's boy and sharing a bed with Genesis until there's space elsewhere. 'Cause, you know, the sheets in the girls' room are
pink.
That concludes this quick update. Maybe next time I'll have a real nooboo to share. 23 days left to go. Once we do leave for the birth, I won't be able to play, so the next update may be quite a ways off. Thanks everyone for your patience, for reading and commenting, and you well wishes. They really are appreciated!
