Sims becoming uncontrollable upon re-loading...help?

Whever I load any of my saves one Sim is completely uncontrollable and unselectable. The one I was controlling when I saved and quit the game is completely fine, but the other one (I only have 2 in most of my households) isn't. If I hover over their panel it just say their name, says they're a stranger and shows all their traits as '??' even though I created the Sim...I can't make them do anything so unless I have autonomy on they just stand there and starve. Is there a way to fix this?

I've never heard of this one, so can't be of definate help.  However, if it happened to me I would try resetsim "simname" first.  Then resetsim *.  If neither of these worked I would evict the family to the clip board then return them to their home.  Good luck.
