The tourist that she chose to be her messenger was a means to an end.As her ghostly spirit took over his warm flesh she smiled for the first time in what seemed like weeks. Her heart lighter she set off for the house.

The dark haired stranger gave Louisa a look of recognition that was odd considering that they had never set eyes on one another before this day. He leaned forward and whispered into her ear...
With a gasp she ran from the room not knowing or caring that he was stood shaking his head in dismay. She didn't let me finish the ghost within sighed using his breath.
All at once the man broke free from the ties that bound him to the ghost and ran out into the dark and cold night.

The ghost looked upon the prone figure at her feet.She could sense the life force leaving his body. Was this her doing she looked up into the starlit night and waited for Grim to arrive.

Louisa,breathless,ran into the tattoo parlour. The stranger had told her that she would find what she sought here. She looked around her,a man stood just feet away and her heart sang with joy and happiness.She reached out a hand to touch him and with a snarl he turned away from her.
"You broke my heart once Louisa I won't let you hurt me again"
"Please!"
"No!"
Heart splintering into two at the overwhelming feeling off loss Louisa headed back home. How was it possible to feel this way about someone she hardly knew. It was almost like her mind refused to aknowledge the truth while her soul cried out in tourment.

"How could you do this"
"Did you really think it would be so easy,that you could just use somebody for your own ends"
"You mean you did this to stop me"
"Of course.In the game of life and death only I can win"
"Life and death are not a game for your amusment"
"Silly girl,of course they are. Now go back to haunting mirrors!"
Anger burning in her veins the ghost stormed into the house.

"As burns this fire so burns my hated for you reaper man. I promise you this I will not loose in this game by the fire ravaged depths of the hell in which you live I will not be denied.

If anyone could guess who the mystery man is it is you Trip,I am so pleased you are enjoying this. Out of all the towns I feel that Twinbrook has the most potential for mystery and hauntings.

The ghost possessing the tourist was just a glitch that I managed to get a picture of. I thought it worked well in the story though.

The one who watches.


As loath as she was to do so Louisa closed her eyes for a brief moment and tried to recall the nightmare that told the tale of her death. There was someone there hidden,watching. She had to find the boy the boy who watched her die.

She found him skulking around the graveyard.She grabbed his arm and spoke to him in low hushed tones.
"You seem to have quite the talent for hanging around graveyards"he looked at her fear in his cowardly eyes.
"You but you you..dddead..ggghost"he stuttered.
"Do I look like I am dead to you?"
He ran from her his feet leaving footprints in the snow when all at once he turned and looked up at her.Then in dark leaden tones that shook the earth beneath her he said;
"No but you will be,she cannot save you and he won't."
His face turned to shadow and she saw not the face of a young boy but the face of the reaper.Shuddering with more then just cold she walked into the town square.


Louisa hardly noticed the people around her.The magician who sneered at her as she passed or the woman with the nooboo. Or the man who was catching snowflakes on his tongue.She just wanted the comfort of hot chocolate.

The firey liquid burned in her throat and eased the cold somewhat.But something wasn't right the taste was bitter the taste wrong.

World spinning into dark night Louisa fell into the snow and into a deep sleep.
