Have you always been able to place a premade lot on an empty lot of a different size?

This is just a brief question or possibly alert if it's a new feature. I thought that in the past you could only place a prebuilt house onto a lot that was the exact same size. For example, a house that was built on a lot measuring 40x40 could only be moved to a lot measuring 40x40, as you were technically moving the entire lot and not just the house.

Today I was able to move a house on a different sized lot, but the lot I moved it to was indeed bigger. (I moved a house I built on a 40x40 lot to an empty lot measuring 64x64). Has it always been possible to do this, or is this new in seasons? I'm sorry, it's kind of a silly question, but I simply can't remember.

As long as the lot had at least as many squares as needed, you've always been able to do it.  So you could place a 10 x 10 prebuilt lot on anything from 10 x 10 up to 64 x 64 if you wanted.  It's also always been where the lot will sit in the exact center no matter what.

No worries.  That happens a lot and we just move things around as needed.
