Legacy Issues

Hey you techie gurus.  I've got a host of problems goin' on in my legacy home.  I put a single new Sim in Bridgeport and aside from freezing time don't see any of these issues, so I just want to know how many I should just chalk up to memory issues with a ten generation file and how many I can expect a patch to fix ...

1.) No "propose marriage" option.  Can propose "go steady"
2.) No "try for baby" option for my vampiress.  Only six people in the house.  No one is preggo.
3.) Error 12 if I don't save and exit once every 90 minutes or so
4.) Occasional crash in CAS
5.) Random silence

1. You have to propose "Go Steady" before marriage. It's like a Boyfriend/Girlfriend sort of thing.
2. Vampires are able to have children, have you got Pets? Also does the Sim she is trying to have a child with live in the house?

I'm not a very technical person though for the other questions but try cleaning up your game by clearing the DCBackup etc.

Caches, etc. are all cleared before each gameplay.  Characters are going steady, but still do not have option to propose.  All generations prior were able to wed, so I'm not sure what's going on.  No pets, and no, he doesn't live in the house.

Error 12 is basically telling you that there's too much data to write a save file for, it sounds like 90 minutes is about the maximum span before the memory fills up. Like Thomas said, it's either clearing DCBackup or remove things in game (additional save files, memories etc.) Does your game crash only when in CAS or is it in other places as well?

Oh, it has crashed spontaneously several times since installing Seasons.  The crash issue, I'm hoping, will be resolved when it's patched.  I've been able to avoid Error 12 by quitting around 90 minutes, as mentioned, but the crashing is random.

On Snow Leopard OSX.  Weirdly, every other adult in the house has the option to Try for Baby, just not the Vampire.  It doesn't even appear grayed out, though "woohoo with ..." does.

Crashes now are happening during "events."  Moves, birthdays, weddings, etc.  I've reinstalled everything, removed all cc, even store stuff.  Nothing is helping.  Urgh.
