Is this a "double your money" glitch?
« on: November 23, 2012, 02:43:06 PM »
My sims had approximately 80k cash and 14 grown tiberium worth about 540k, stored in a WA chest, when I decided it was time to move to a new home.  I did not want to cash them in as I was hoping to get some of the money related wishes - be worth 100k, own 3 community facilities, that kind of thing.  I used the telphone "move" option.  The cost of the move was about 50k.  However when the move was completed my sim family had over 570k cash.  I thought that the tiberium must have been sold automatically when I moved the family, but, the tiberium is still in the chest!  Oh, how I wish it was real life :).

Has anyone else encountered this?

I haven't had that happen, but I did have a weird glitch where I sold stuff in my inventory and it gave me the money and then put the items on the floor, where I sold them, got more money, and then they disappeared.

I've had that happen a few times recently too.

@gracieoscar: Do you have SN and Seasons?

Sadsim, that repeated selling from the personal  inventory has been around for a while.  I don't have either season's or SN, but I have to discipline myself not to go for the repeat selling temptation.  If you sell the items that land on the ground then move up or down one level, they will reappear and you can sell them again, repeat the up or down move and this will go on indefinately.  To avoid this happening, open up the window to show multiples of the items by clicking on the little triangle in the top left of the inventory item box.  If this window is open, the items do not land on the ground when you sell them.  Alternatively sell from inventory with the game  on slow not paused.

I can't explain the Tiberium issue, but the other thing where items you sell remain on the ground to be sold repeatedly, it only does that when the game is paused.  If you click play the item will disappear.
