SimGuruTaterTot has posted a thread regarding this issue. According to it, they are changing the way the Daily Deal system works, so that is why the current system has been wacked out lately.

Thanks for the link Wednesday, hopefully they will get the Daily Deal sorted soon. It's been great that for the past few weeks they have put up sets, and I hope that the changes will mean that this will continue.

I have no details on what changes are going to be made, but I (and everyone else) received the following message today.

Scheduled Maintenance TODAY (04/18) starting 4PM PST

TheSims3.com will be down for scheduled maintenance TODAY (04/18) starting 4PM PST. The site, including the Exchange and Store will be down for several hours during this time. The forums will be accessible, but you may experience difficulties navigating during maintenance.

I hope that they'll make the changes to Daily Deal during this maintenance. I've never been more excited to receive a message about scheduled site maintenance.

I was just reading a thread about the store over at the TS3 site. One of the players was told by a guru that there won't be any new items/sets today.

As to the endless four item loop, I'm guessing that it's because of the store revamp and they just aren't done with it yet.

We finally have a new Daily Deal, not just the same rotating items! The Hypnotizer is 400 simpoints, down from 500.

The January 2012 compilation is on sale, 1830 simpoints down from 3500.

The December 2011 compilation is on sale for 930 simpoints, down from 2400.

The Best of 2010 compilation is the deal now, 2000 points (down from 6000)!

That's still too much for me (I own some sets included in it already), but thought that 67% discount was still worthy of a heads-up.

Today's deal is the Life's a Beach swim set for 527 Simpoints (down from 1250). That's a 58% discount. I'm trying to decide whether I should get it or not.

The Beach Bummin' set is on the Daily Deal, 463 simpoints down from 1100.

This isn't the Daily Deal, but the Storybook Set is on sale for 950 Simpoints (down from 1900) until June 26. They have some other sets on sale, too, to go with the new town.
