It is down! :) We owe thanks to SimGuruSmitty who investigated further and discovered that the team had made an error and had hidden the world falsely and brought it back up to their attention! Not only to her but a massive thank you to everyone who has reported and helped us to get the stolen Union Cove down from the site! It is such a relief to see it down and back in our hands!  :D

Hurrah. However, there appears to be no reliable way to ensure it doesn't happen again.

True, but it's a known issue now. I think therefore the next time it will happen faster.

My thanks to all you all guys for your support.

I know that the forum is very useful for both members and nonmembers who come seeking  answers or help. But is there anyway to "lock" the swap shop to nonmembers? Just so we know its not a stranger downloading stuff. Sure it would "force" people to join to download anything, but it would prevent strangers from stealing stuff.

And to claify locking or making private only part of the forums not all of it.

I understand that, but I was wondering if there was a way to modify the forums to change that. Maybe we also need a "clean out" (or suspend)  members who haven't posted in a year, or only posted once a year ago.   Put their accounts on hold until they reactivate it. I don't know how the forum arrangements work and if they can even do this, I'm just brainstorming ways to possibly help prevent this.

If its anything like other forums, they can suspend user accounts. One game I played, they removed anyone who hasn't posted in a month (Or posted a Leave of Absence)

Thank you for the suggestion.  We already have such things in place, however.  Discussions like this are always done by the staff when needed.

What a relief it is to get our voices heard and see things got back to normal! Thank you all for great effort you put in solving this, I can only imagine the agony of the creators who had to wait for weeks for EA to react.
We all get to see how great community this is and how our join effort with help from good hearted people from other communities can make things change for the best.
Big thank you to everyone :D
